Exclusive: Obama, aides expected to weigh Syria military options on Friday

    and here's best part:

One alternative, U.S. officials said, is allowing allies to provide U.S.-vetted rebels with more sophisticated weapons, although not shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles, which Washington fears could be used against Western airliners.

In other words they are U.S.-vetted terrorists. How lovely!

If they give these weapons to Kurdish people, it will not cause any harm. But if they give these to Arabs, I guarantee you, USA will be screwed in the end. Kurds are the only true ally of USA yet USA loves to screw Kurds over and over and over. From George H.Bush to Bill Clinton to Geirge W Bush to Obama. Presidents change, the destiny of Kurds being screwed by USA never changes.

Our foreign policy over the last 2 decades has been absolutely insane, but we keep voting in people who want to do more of the same.

So, let's look at the basics.

    Arabs - They hate USA
Turkey - Seems like an ally but they hate USA
    Iran - They hate USA

Kurds - Hated by Turks, Arabs and Iranians. Kurdish people fought alongside with USA against Saddam in the first gulf war. They fought against Saddam again in the second gulf war. USA needed help to fight against ISIS. Arabs ran away, Iranian Shia militia ran away, but Kurds didn't run away. They are still the only reliable US ally fighting against ISIS even though they are being undermined by Turkey, Iran and Sunni Arabs.

When will this madness end? Israel is pushing for a free Kurdistan yet USA says no. Looks like USA loves Turks Arabs and Iranians even though USA has been screwed over by them multiple times in the past.

the Kurds are the only ones i even remotely trust in this equation.

    Russia cannot be trusted..
    Iran obviously cannot be trusted.
Assad is a ruthless dictator, and will look for revenge on his own people..
the Sunni rebels and Turkey cannot be trusted..
    Saudi Arabia cannot be trusted..
and ISIS is the worst in all of it.

based on ISIS being the worst of it, and Russia/Iran, Assad, and the rebels also being against ISIS, backing the Kurds seems the safest play in this mess. Let them fight ISIS and earn their own long overdue part of the region. They are more than willing.

as for the rest of Syria, stay out of it aside from humanitarian relief.
there isn't a good outcome to be had.. the Sunnis won't like our lack of involvement, but we can't seem to win with them either way.

She can only hope that the exact location of her bunker hasn't been hacked into. I doubt it can take a direct hit...

We are watching you: British Royal Navy keeps a watchful eye on Russia's Northern Fleet as it heads for the Channel on a mission to ‘seize control’ of the Med and mocks our 'tiny ships' as they go

    https://www.google.com/amp/www.dail...r-stationed-Scottish-coast.html?client=safari

Aleppo looks to be flattened in a few weeks. The entire Russian northern fleet just passed through the English Channel enroute to the Med.

Pieces are moving. This speaks to end of days type movement. Gog and Magog

You are going to hate me when I say this but please don't buy this Russia is looking for a war bullshit. Turkey shot down a Russian airplane and killed two Russian pilots. Not even 2 years passed and Putin is in bed with Turkish Dictator. Russia couldn't even protect their own pride .Russia is out of cash. They don't have money to finance a war. They are crumbling under the sanctions by Europe and USA.Please google it. They are flexing their muscle due to internal politics. But they aren't in any position to attempt a direct conflict with NATO. USA knows that Russia is bankrupt and so is everyone. Believe me, nothing will happen. Oh I wish Putin is crazy enough to poke the bear. I guarantee you, this will be the end o Russia as we know it. USA is still the boss and will continue to be the boss as long as France, Germany, England, Israel, Japan and Korea are by their side. This little alliance between dark countries in Russia, China and Iran should scare no one.

^Read another article from British source; that source believes it's a diversion tactic. That Russia objective in moving its fleet is solely to take attention from some other, more important, moving part.

I still think they don't move their entire northern fleet to the med just to flex muscle. I expect they plan increased presence in Syria.

They are leaving themselves exposed now in the north. UK, Denmark, Germany and other allies maintain strong naval and arial dominance in that area now ... not to mention what we (USA) have in the region.

Please. Let them have Syria. What is Syria's strategic importance other than being neighbors to Israel? Syria is a broken country where Shia minority is ruling a Sunni majority. Don't forget the Kurds in north. Syria doesn't have any oil either. Let Russia spend their last dime on them. Syria is the new Afghanistan for Russia.

I have been telling all along. Middle East has been home to wars since prophet Muhammad declared Islam. After Prophet Muhammad died, is best friend ruled the Islamic State. He lived 2 years and after that it was Prophet's second best friend Omar ruled the state. He was killed. After Omar was killed it was Prophet's son in law Osman who ruled the state. He also was killed. After that it was Prophet's other son in law Ali. He was also killed. All these killings were done by other Muslims. And guess what. Prophet Muhammad's two grand kids Hassan and Hussein were also killed by Muslims in Kerbela. A desert in Middle East. You know how they were killed? They were first exiled from Medine and while they were on their way out of Islamic State they were left without food and water in desert and they died of starvation and no water. When they died all their families also died with them without and food and water. Meantime, the Islamic army was watching them suffer and not allowing anybody help them. You know why they didn't kill them with knives or guns? because they were the grand kids of the prophet Muhammed and they thought they would burn in hell if they killed them with guns.

So my friend. Even prophet' Muhammad's son in laws(neither of them) couldn't escape from being murdered. Even prophet Muhammad's two grand kids who he loved dearly were killed in desert after days of starvation and dehydradation.

Blood is being shed for 1400 years in that region. What will Russia gain by sending their troops into the middle of that shit hole? One thing Obama did very correctly was to take away American troops out of Middle East.

Let Sunni and Shia kill each other. Oil? Who cares. Shale oil in USA and oil reserves in Alaska is the back up source. There is always clean energy. Oil dependency is less and less. Let Arabs fight Iranians. Let them kill each other. Stay away from there. Let Russia deal with it.

Did you know Saudi Arabia has collected 15 billion dollars debt by issuing state bonds? Nice. Let them suffer.

I don't want USA troops anywhere near Syria. I think we should isolate the situation as best as possible. Send aid, but no more weapons. I have always said we should work with Kurdistan the only effictive weapon on the ground that we can cooperate/trust to fight Isis. Turkey obviously complicates that.

I have no idea what Russia gains from moving its entire northern fleet to the med...? I have no idea if it's a distraction as I read from the British source. All I think I know is a nation does not move that many pieces unless they plan to use them.

The Phillipines is trying to start it. We need that entry point into Southeast Asia and can't let it fall to China.

Phillippines has been a US ally traditionally. But they now made a deal with Chinese to look for natural gas in South China sea. So you are right. China is trying to control the major trade route. Pacific Asia is the starting point of World War 3 not Middle East.
