Is their a blue chip "head and shoulders above the rest" QB/skill position player? (honest question as i don't watch much college ball) If not, then I'm afraid we are just plain old sucking...
Another blow to an already shitty season. I look at it as a way for Enunwa, Sefarian-Jenkins, Robby Anderson, Devin Smith, and Jalin Marshall to get more looks. The only problem is Robby Anderson & Devin Smith are both burners and strive on taking the top off of defenses and our QB can't throw more than 20 yards, and if he can, its wildly inaccurate.
That was so obvious last year when smith would run right past defenders and be 4 or 5 yards open and not once could fitzpatrick get him the ball..oh wait I think he did once and smith dropped it, he was probably so shocked he didn't know what to do.
Decker's 2017 season in question now. He had hip surgery. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2016/10/18/decker-has-hip-surgery-2017-season-in-jeopardy/ If he's out 2017, probably better off retiring. He will be 32 the next time he plays I believe?
He might as well quit and get into the entertainment business with his wife. No way can we handle 2 years off with Decker in his 30's. It would mean a return in late 2018 (wtf)
Per the team, the hip surgery was “deemed necessary” during an evaluation for the shoulder injury last week. The team’s statement said the anticipated recovery time for the hip surgery is six months, and once Decker is off crutches he will then have shoulder surgery and have an eight-month timetable for recovery from the shoulder surgery. If Decker is out for 14 months, that means he’ll miss most or all of next season, too.
I release his ass as soon as feasible. He & Marshall should be shown the door when their joke of a QB buddy finally graces us with his departure. If he OR Marshall wanna go to the Pats or Miami..so be it. Anybody that wants to go to war with that clown as his passer & is willing to disrupt team chemistry & activity to do it doesn't belong on the Jets.
