DR is probably angling right now while he's injured on how to approach the FO and inform them that he's gonna hold out when he's healthy because the secondary is in shambles without him...
One thing that REALLY grinds my gears is how we have managed to avoid drafting a boom type player at OLB since 2008. We could have had Vic Beasley last year.... but nooooooo have to draft DL. Our pass rush is so existent...
Thanks for the link. Interesting read. It is Cimini, so I take the speculation with a grain of salt, but it is strange that Petty hasn't been practicing. I really hope they're not jerking him around and that Mac is not blindly in love with Hack and is trying to sabotage Petty to help Hack.
That has been one of my frustrations for years. I've about given up hope of their ever getting an elite pass rusher again.
This sounds about right to me. 3-7 or 4-6 at best is way more likely than 5-5 or a virtually impossible 6-4 in my opinion.
Well, think of it this way. The Jets are streaky. Last year, the Jets started 4-1, then ended up 5-5, until finishing 10-6. If they can get to 5-5, after starting 1-4, it would be incredible, but would that mean another losing streak after? I dunno, the way I see it, the Jets are pretty much done. I have a glimmer of hope, but that glimmer is dependent on beating Arizona on the road on the west coast. 1-5 = no return.
At the expense of Sheldon's playing his natural position too. Drafting Big Cat made either Wilk or Sheldon expendable and with them signing Wilk, that makes Sheldon odd man out.
Sheldon playing OLB lowers his value. Expect the Jets to extend him this off season to plug in after they trade Mo for draft pics
