I agree with what you said in terms of the holes, how long it's going to take to fix the roster, and Fitz regressing. I don't understand Bowles' regressing in terms of his handling of the D, of the team looking unprepared, and of his not making any beneficial half time adjustments this season as he did last season.
Some of that may be just unrealistic expectations. I don't think anyone saw Revis dropping off as far as he has as quickly as he has and that totally changes the complexion of the defense. Early in the season you were hoping it was just conditioning or being a slow start so you don't rush to make drastic changes. This years draft clearly indicated they expected a higher performance level as they didn't focus on the secondary really at all and took a developmental type player in the secondary, a good one but he wasn't going to be a day one starter. I'm not in panic mode, I've seen that too often with the Jets over the 47 years or so I've been following the team and I'm not going to make rash emotional judgments on a team that's in the state it's been the last couple of seasons .
You gotta be fucking kidding me. Down by two scores with 7 minutes to go and you punt the ball from mid field with 4th and 2? Bowles is absolute garbage and has no concept of how to win.

I've always been against retreads but fuck it's time we end the internship program here and hire a guy who has run a team before. What sucks is there really isn't anyone out there worth pursuing.
In response to the question of who to replace Bowles. I have only said this the last 4 fucking hires, don't hire the latest hot coordinator prospect. Hire a fucking HEAD coach. I would love Jon Gruden as my #1 choice, but I doubt he wants to get back in the coaching game.
Even if he did want to come back, it would not be with the Jets. He's going to go to a competent franchise, that's if he does come back.
