Gotta bend but not break, keep the receivers in front of you and not allow the big play down the field for the score. That's something the Jets haven't done very well this season.

Sammie Coates, Hayward-Bey they got guys that can really hurt the Jets secondary. Have to generate a turnover at least in my opinion.

Ryan Shazier being out is pretty big. ASJ might finally make an appearance.

i'd be a little shocked at this point too.
losing Revis from our already struggling secondary is a blow...

but they have to find a way to contain Pitt. The talent is there. Time to find a better defensive strategy to fit this personnel, and for the players to show some desire.

The defense needs to be the backbone of this team, and we'll need them this Sunday to have a chance.

This is the kind of game that can change a season around. No need for doom and gloom. Go get the W. Jets on 3... 1....2...3....

Bowles needs to be aggressive. No more settling for FGs in the redzone. Go for it on 4th and short from the 30 or 40. Punting for 20 yards is garbage now a days. Also I swear to god I will throw my remote across the room if I see us take Timeouts into half again. No reason to let them milk the clock out and not force a punt.

The one thing the Jets defense has going for them is that Pittsburgh's plays usually take long to develop. KC (especially) and Seattle took the DL out of the equation by quick-hitting the Jets all game. Pittsburgh doesn't usually do that. That leaves an opportunity to get pressure on Roethlisberger, stuff the run, maybe create some turnovers, etc.

If Pittsburgh adjusts and come out flicking in 2 step drops the Jets would be screwed but they got the best damn offense in the league I don't see them adjusting just for the sake of adjusting. SO you have to hope they try to play their usual game and you catch them off guard with enough of a lead before they adjust, or hope they screw up and don't adjust.

I agree though with others that the game isn't going to be won in a shootout. If the Jets are to stand a chance the defense needs to lead the way and stop Pittsburgh, especially early

Even if the DL gets to Big Ben, that doesn't mean they can bring him down. He' really strong.

True. Our DL is also very large though.
it's not like we have 230lb edge rushers who get there fast but can't finish. we'll be bringing a lot of 300+ lb athletes at him.
i like our chances to finish if we get there. just hope our secondary gives them enough time to do some damage.

For some reason I smell a win for us this week. Why? I have NO IDEA. I do see it being possible though, as someone else mentioned there were two instances where a shitty Jets team upset a contending Pittsburgh team. They were both at home though, not in Pittsburgh.

When do you ever see this team come out and smack the shit out of the opponent right out the gate? That is something the Steelers would do, I hate to give them credit, but its true. We come out like a Todd Bowles press conference. I've never seen much ferocity from this team and we NEVER set the tone physically.

Your last sentence is in the money. We don't ever fly 11 hats to the ball and we sure as hell don't try to physically dominate them. I wanna see leveon catch a ball in the flat and a LB and corner hit him on the catch.

Why look forward to 4 PM when you can look forward to April?

The Jets have already lost this game mentally. They're looking ahead to Cleveland, lol.

What in the hell do so many people on here have against Brandon Marshall? Am I missing something here? All I see is a guy that's carried our offense for the better part of 2 years, has been good for the locker room and is fun to watch on Inside the NFL. He takes a lot of heat on this site and I don't know why.
