Do we sign a free agent like Mike Glennon or possibly Kirk Cousins? Do we draft a QB early in next years draft and let him compete with Petty and Hackenberg in camp for the job? Do we try to swing a deal with Denver for Trevor Siemian? Or Cincinatti for AJ McCarron Do we bring in a veteran like Tony Romo? A lot of questions to answer for Bowles and McCagnan next year. I think the only sure fire lock is that Fitz and Geno will be elsewhere.
The Jets will start the biggest cuck they can find. This franchise loves emasculating its fan base with embarrassing play.
Draft one and roll with Petty/Hack......It's a joke if Hack isn't even ready to battle next offseason
Petty will be a third year veteran, playing time aside. If he isn't ready to take over I fear he never will. Meanwhile Hack will have had the off season to work on his mechanics, I believe in his work ethic. I truly believe we will find a QB between these two guys. If not, then we draft big for QB in the draft the year after.
If I had to roll the dice on one of the above I'd go with McCarron but I'm hoping Petty surprises and takes the reigns next year.
Except after a decade of having the worst QBs in the NFL I have to believe the Jets will just destroy any prospective blue chip QB. When does the fanbase look at the 'system' and call out toxic culture of the ownership, FO and CS? It would be less embarrassing if we didn't have a team in our division that has 3, THREE, QBs that could start on any team. It gets better, all 3 of them drafted and groomed by the Patriots. I don't believe that even if we had drafted those same QBs that we would enjoy the same level of play. Credit to the pats for being the best system, probably, of all time. Thanks a lot Woody.
Let both Geno and Fitz walk. Start Petty and see if Hackenberg can play TE. Draft Josh Dobbs out of Tennessee as the backup QB.
This, except for the part about 3 QB's that could start on any team. That's overkill. But the part about Jets culture is correct. It changed briefly with Tuna, and we caught a glimpse with Rex at least attempting to draft and stick with the same QB. It's a shame when your glory years as a Jets fan (since the 80's) were when Rex Ryan was coach and Mark Sanchez was QB.
Think there's a high possibility Cutler ends up on the Jets next year...I don't expect Fitz or Geno to be on the squad. I don't know if Petty will ever be more than a backup, and as for Hack it all depends on how much he can develop this season. If the FO/CS thinks he has developed adequately then Hack for sure, if not I would not be shocked to see Cutler
You give his health too much credit. We need to narrow the scope of the time frame here to quarters; of which I give him about 3. #NoRomo #GonnaSignHimAnyway
