NAM sucks....... Usually a blend of the GFS and Euro = best bet (although they've been pretty divergent lately) I think you're OK, but anyone on the NJ shore getting pounded? I tried to recruit 10 different friends for a road trip up to the OBX and had no takers

So you guys still care about weather? Ok....let's take care of a couple things. First...wow...fjf and others. You guys have come a long way. I'm NOT here to be the guy anymore. You guys did a fantastic job. When I saw the models showing a potential for Mathew on Monday I came in here to post and couldn't get on but started reading backwards and wow. You guys did a great job...I couldn't have done it better. Not close. Fjf....I knew you were getting this. Incredible job.. Me? Well let's make a long story short. Health issue...which is a thing of the past along with a divorce relocated me to wilmington nc. Currently moving to a beach house on carolina beach November 1st. If it's still standing after this storm. For years on this site I wondered why people who were on for years would just dissappear and now I know. Well for me at least? Was just burnt. With everything going on I just stopped following weather. Met someone here and my life now? Well its ....a blessing. Enough of that. The juices started to flow when you guys up north got the bomber snowstorm. Truthfully that sucked for me. We had rain showers down here lol. ANYWAY life is good and really happy to see everyone is doing great. As far as invest 97 which is now Matthew is concerned...keep an eye out. While a few models have it doing a Sandy thing curving back to the coast, current steering could be a coastal hugger that would bring rain and winds all the way to Maine. It has three options. 1 once it gets to Cuba it will turn do north. The Bahamas will get pounded. 2 goes north and pounds nc coast and rides up through the Chesapeake Bay into nj and then eastern Canada while of course losing some zip but staying much stronger than storms that would take that path 3 the blocking high over nova Scotia breaks down and allows it to go out to sea after north carolina. Doubt number 3. Timing? NC coast Wednesday Thursday NYC metro (if it comes that far north) Friday Saturday next week. Major fear.....SLOW MOVER. Miss you guys! Will enjoy the discussion.

Welcome back Jay. Been too long. I've been watching the models for this weekend, in maryland for a bike race friday saturday and sunday. Looks a little wet but oh well. Saw mathew on the 6z gfs this morning. That could be serious for the tri state next weekend
Although I think F Jay F did an outstanding job,,I mean he was all over these storms and a wealth of weather info there is no substitute for the original Jayster ,myself ,F Jay ,And many others missed you. Stay on top of this guys and " keep em coming "
Fjf you are excellent bud. Great to see you! The system over the Ohio valley may drop over 6 inches of rain in northern VA and DC area. Keep an eye out for that one too my friend. Miss ya bud!
Potential for a BEAST MODE storm...... GFS has been the best model this season, but the EURO has been historically, so go with a blend of the 2. ATM, the GFS has the storm developing at a more rapid pace, hence moving north much faster. Euro has it slower but STRONGER. My brother closes on a house in Island Park tomorrow, so hopefully no Sandy 2.0. I just want some real surf.......
