This is just too depressing...we are already missing playoffs Frankly I just want to see a W Long way to playoff time and injuries happen to the good teams Get to 3-3
Here's a cap space question for anybody who cares enough to dig out the answer: Is there an NFL team that has less of a QB position cap hit than the Jets this season? Even with the fourth guy, I have to think the Jets are at or near rock bottom.
I was looking for the total hit for all QBs. I've checked around and it looks like the Jets are 26th. Philly, LA, TB, Tenn, Oak and Denver are the only ones lower and taking out Petty's $663K (just because he's the cheapest of the four) would push the Jets two spots lower. The stats I found show the Titans and Eagles as only carrying two QBs. You get what you pay for.
Yea, it's hard to say the sky is falling for 47 years....... I suppose that it's really descending more at a leisurely pace. "Aaaaaaaaaaahhhhh! The sky is descending at glacial speed, everyone mosey for your lives!!!" That doesn't have quite the same dramatic effect, does it?
Sheldon Richardson and Mo Wilk biting on pump fakes, should not even enter the discussion. I could name 100 things wrong with the team before I land on that one.
Pittsburgh and Arizona got their asses handed to them... So it happens to good teams. That said, Losses to teams who if the don't win their Division will knock us out of the playoffs ..yea..not so good. But we're off to a bad start.
Yeah. Mathematically this isn't over, but history shows these are the games that sink seasons. Frankly, I don't see Buffalo as a good team. I don't have faith in the team just now to overcome other good teams. Hope they prove me wrong.
The thing is though, they both lost to out of conference teams ... we already lost 2 in the conference that will more than likely contend with us for a WC spot. That's why the Jets couldn't get in last season.
so, other then giving up 7 points, special teams did good. lol. "struggling" seahawks team is 2-1 and looked great sunday. even without wilson they are as good or better then KC. 1-0 in the division is meaningless. pats are 3-0 and get brady back soon. we have 0 shot at the division. meanwhile 2 conference losses and lose tiebreakers to KC and Cincy. its bleak
its not a win now team at all. its team mid rebuilding that is transitioning to a younger era. we dont have a win now qb. fitz while the best win now option on the team is still mediocure and not a guy likely to get you to the playoffs. our coach is in year 2 and not poised to prepare us for tough games. dont confuse old with win now
defense gave up 10 points. that is hardly getting exposed considering how many turnovers we had. their lone touchdown came on a short field off an interception. despite 8 turnovers, we were still in the game late because our defense kept getting stops. the issue is coaching and QB.
95% of the time 10 wins gets you in, we had 10 wins last year, is that not good enough? wanna go back to the 4-6 wins geno was giving us?
It's an almost definitively win-now team, with some nice young pieces on the defensive line. The majority of the team's best, most prominent players are past 30. The team's quarterback (who is widely regarded as one of the most important people in the locker room) is an 11 year vet. And, honestly, in today's "show me now or get fired" world, every coach is in win-now mode. Coaches rarely get much more than 2 seasons to prove themselves and some get even less than that.
