This is a horrible post, you cannot say he is good and with your next breathe say he can't be trusted week in and week out. That is the very definition of a good qb

Cut Fitz? Bench him, fine. But cut him? Guys need to reel it in. Fitz is at least a reasonable backup, that we already paid.

    yesterday's second half drives

    Punt
    INT
    INT
    INT
    INT
    INT

Not sayin they should make a change but I'm pretty sure Petty or Geno Smith or even Hackenberg coulda done that

Doing the same thing and expecting a different outcome is the definition of insanity.

Whoever decided to keep throwing deep was not thinking straight.

They won't do that until the Jets are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. And maybe not even then.

Because doing so would mean that they were wrong about re-signing him and the entire offseason soap opera would be egg on their faces. More than it is already, anyway.

I think then they would still leave him in. Did you see how Bowles even admits the staff didnt prepare? Wtf???? They had no game plan. The staff is concerning me in all phases.

I agree but a couple more garbage performances which seems more likely than not in the next few weeks and there will be a ton of pressure to get rid of the weak link

I either want to see Fitz play well for the next few weeks or if we lose just see him play horrendous....Unfortunately it's probably going to be what Fitz always has done which is basically a false hope type performance as we linger to another mediocre year.

The Jets and Fitz deserve each other actually

They definitely do. You cant expect to build a winner with below average talent leading the way. Unfortunately one mediocre game by Fitz and everyone jumps on the wagon again and forgets how bad he really is.

Can you imagine how effective hed be in LA with less talent? Hesld be on the bench for ANYONE else by now. So why does this team ride him like hes a pro bowl caliber player?

No, just saying he is not terrible. He can play amazing. He can also play bad. Inconsistent. You need consistency in the NFL. That is all I meant.

And earlier I was referring to "Smart Fans" as fans who know Fitz will have games like this. Don't get too high on him after the Buffalo game, don't get too low on him after the KC game.

and that's why he's NOT "good"..... being "not as shitty as the other guy" does not qualify

It's simply amazing how bipolar this fan base is. After one loss, signing Fitz was the biggest mistake ever and the Jets are going nowhere. After a win where he plays well, it's the best move ever, and the Jets are making the playoffs. Why is it always great or it sucks? Can't it be in the middle? Nobody expected Fitz to be Joe Montana. We knew he was inconsistent going in. That's why he is paid the equivalent of a 20-30th ranked QB.

Fitz will beat a team over .500 on the road at some point in his career. I promise you that.

He is on a rough stretch dating back to Bills game last year. Winning that game and getting us in the playoffs would have bought him goodwill. Instead, he had a mini meltdown, cost us a playoff spot, and then held out. Our reward as fans has been a mediocre performance against Cincy (who got lit up by T Siemian yesterday), a surprisingly great performance against the Bills, and a legendary, historical meltdown against the Chiefs. Is he capable of other great performances this season? Sure. But you might have to be patient considering the upcoming opponents. And I'm not sure Fitz has the goodwill right now to receive this fan base's patience. I would love for him to turn it around and have a nice stretch, but also realize that this could get very ugly, very quickly, starting this week.
