I don't expect him to bench fizz next week but did he comment why he didn't pull him during this game in his press conference? I mean what was the point of running him out there over and over even even it was out of reach?
In Bowles' case it is easy to criticize. He's regressed. Last season from practically his very first game he was making great in-game adjustments and was making better decisions. This year, we're seeing no adjustments, and his decisions have not been that good. The fact that he said he never thought about pulling Fitz today speaks volumes. I understand supporting his starting QB, but sometimes people just have a bad day. Why leave them out there to be humiliated, and why lose a game you could possibly win? After Fitz threw his 3rd pick, at least for a series or two, he should have taken a seat on the bench and Geno been given a chance to see if he could give the team a spark, and give Fitz a chance to regroup and get refocused. If Geno didn't play well for that series or two, fine, then put Fitz back in. Maybe the break would help him. If Geno plays well, maybe you save the game.
Edwards was a solid coach who got the most out of his teams and got them to the playoffs... and even won a bit there. he was conservative and had some flaws, but i dont think bowles is half the coach edwards was at this point. cant put the 6 picks on bowles, but going into this week, with 10 days to prepare.... the ONE thing he should have stressed all week was ball protection. KC doesnt turn it over and you wont beat them if you do. we had like 4 or 5 chances to get right in this game, but failed because we were unprepared and careless with the ball. bowles isnt there yet
His ints were just as much having both his top WRs playing hurt, a bit off, a bit slower, etc. His throws to Enunwa were just fine. On top of this he was pressing a bit due to the fumbles/ints. The only diff between today and Thurs in Buff is Marshall and Decker playing 50%. What you should get from this game is how valuable Marshall and Decker are and how much we need them 100%.
That would have been really nice. I also think Chan panicked and stayed with the pass too much when we had plenty of time to run the ball, even down by 2 with 6 mins left. Fits/Marshall/Deck were having a rough game....should have Forte a bit more.
