Lucas and Westoff just said the Jets got badly out-coached today. Plus, Fitz played like sh*t (at a record level) on top of that.
Its not on him. Its execution. Fitz was terrible today. He couldn't sustain anything. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Doesn't look we actually did anything right...Catching, Throwing, running and holding on to the ball, tackling, defending and coaching...Can't blame this solely on Bowles guys....9 Turnovers? I guess we got the turnovers out of the way for the rest of the year...
It is Bowles. I like Fitz and I can admit he was terrible, but the WHOLE team was awfully flat. Revis is a joke.
Bowles sucks. 10 days to prepare and that's what we trot out? The scheme he runs in the secondary is pure dogshit. I couldn't count the number of times I saw Kelce run free off the line without being chipped. Kc is predicated on quick 3 step drops. Why the fuck are you playing off? Get up in their face and jam them. We didn't lay one finger on them all game.
Im not sure how youre putting this on Revis. The defense really played well. They gave up 10 points on atrocious field position. Sent from my SM-N930V using Tapatalk
Other teams push rookie QB's to play. We have such a slow BS method of developing Qb's and to date have zero to show for it. Fitz was never going to be the MAN and Geno? forgetabout it!! By week 6 I would hope Petty see's major game time
Wins the game, he needed to win in buffalo last year, then completely lays egg in KC. I hope to god we don't see those jets again this season. That was simply awful.
Revis stood around, only time that side looked good was when Burris came in. Pryor was terrible, Mo Wilkerson jogged all day. On offense, Fitz looked like crap and the Marshalls contributed to TO after TO.
Well 10 points yes but we did not have any 3 and outs until the 4th Q....In fact they may have only had 1 punt the first half. They continued to give up big plays and couldn't stop the bleeding...Yes they stopped them cold but Chiefs were playing conservatively.
Andy Reid is famous for playing conservatively when he has a lead. Notice all those time-consuming runs in the second half? I can't believe that with 10 days....TEN DAYS....all the coaching staff could do was sit on the toilet and extrude this mule patty of a game...the kind of pudding turd you get with a day of vegetarian bean burritos and tofu...and it burns when it comes out from too much hot sauce, and the smell cuts like a razor because you took an aspirin with the burrito. I have nothing to add other than the thread title still makes me laugh after two weeks of being on the first page.
I seem to recall the last 2 Jets starting QBs were highly drafted and started in their rookie years. How did that work out? Sometimes it works out, sometimes it does not -- but more often than not sitting a QB is the right thing to do.
I'm not going to lie.... Both games we've lost it was the same type of plays that killed us.... That's a little concerning
THIS! We can debate all day about his shitty game planning, but for a basic "set the tone" example such as this, HOW THE FUK do you trot a journeyman QB back out after FIVE INTs........ to only throw a 6th. What kind of an accountability example does that set for the team? Pretty obvious he/they hate Geno but cmonnnn maaaannn......
Bowles is clearly afraid of any sort of QB controversy. As bad as Geno is, he has to be put into the game after int 3. The game was still within reach and Fitz was not going to get it done. Was he afraid if Geno leads some sort of comeback that every single question this week will be whether Geno is the starter against Seattle? IMO as coach, he didn't make the tough call for fear of a potential QB controversy. If there was ever a game that the backup had to come in but didn't, it was today's game...
