  1. He'd be an upgrade at the Y over Kellen Davis day 1.He's a better blocker & is a legit threat in the passing game. Like others have stated,is his head on straight?

Highlights can make anyone look good or at least better than what they are but just wanted to put out some game film on him.

Why he's showboating and celebrating while down 4 TD's during the 4th quarter makes me question if he even cares about winning and losing. It doesn't seem like it there.

*Insert Gailey doesn't use or need tightends rhetoric ignoring all logic about how he uses one if they're not dogshit*

I would grab him. Regardless of the shitty attitude, the dude still has a good amount of talent. Second chances can sometimes do a player good. I would love to be able to run a guy out there that can actually catch the football and block at least averagely. Way better than Kellen Davis despite being a douchebag.

Edit: I was beaten to the punch

He hasn't done shit so far in the NFL, I don't get why people act like this bonehead is a difference maker. If Amaro wasn't worth keeping around then there's no way I'd want this doofus on our team. He's a headcase. Pass.

I just couldn't imagine us releasing one underachieving TE in Jace Amaro who was drafted in 2014, only to sign yet another underachiever from that same 2014 draft class in Austin Seferian-Jenkins.

But I do disagree with the notion that Chan Gailey doesn't feature his TE's. When thinking about it, he's never once had a dynamic pass catching type of weapon to actually feature while with either of Pittsburgh, Miami, Buffalo or N.Y as an Offensive Coordinator.

Back in 1996-1997 as the Steelers O.C he had a career (pass catching) jag of a TE in Mark Bruener.

Even as head coach of the Dallas Cowboys (1998-1999) Chan didn't have a pass catching TE once again. Only had the likes of David LaFleur, Eric Bjornson and Hayward Clay (no-name TE's).

Back in 2000-2001 as the Dolphins O.C he only had Hunter Goodwin for a TE, who finished his 8 year career with a combined 37 receptions.

Back in 2010-2012 as the Bills O.C he only had the likes of David Martin and Scott Chandler.

Thus far with the Jets he's only had the privilege to work with the likes of Jace Amaro, Jeff Cumberland and Kellen Davis.

Scott Chandler was the only above average pass catching TE that Gailey had a chance to work with, and Gailey did feature Scott Chandler within his offense. Those 2 years in Buffalo (with Chan) Chandler put up a combined 81 receptions for 960 yards and 12 TD receptions. Gailey most certainly didn't ignore Chandler.

I will say that during his 1 year in Kansas City (2008) as the Chiefs Offensive Coordinator he did feature Tony Gonzalez like no tomorrow (96 catches for 1,058 yards and 10 TD receptions).

Saying that Chan Gailey doesn't feature or use pass catching TE's would be like stating that as an offensive coordinator, Tom Moore wouldn't or refused to use a scrambling/mobile QB (when all he ever had to work with was a pocket passing statue in #18).

Maccagnan as a GM goes and lands us an athletic freak of a TE and there is no question about it, Chan Gailey will feature him within our offense (as he did in K.C with Gonzalez and Chandler in Buffalo).

That's not only false but also inaccurate.

During those two years in Buffalo in which he had Scott Chandler, Chandler combined for 81 receptions for 960 yards and 12 TD receptions and during his 1 year with Kansas City, Tony Gonzalez put up 96 receptions for 1,058 and 10 TD receptions.

But yea, right, "he doesn't feature them". Wrong.

During his years in Pittsburgh (1996-1997), Dallas (1998-1999), Miami (2000-2001) and the Jets (2015-2016) he wasn't with those teams nearly long enough for his G.M's to find him a stud TE. He simply inherited mediocre TE's in which were (already) on the team(s) rosters before he even ever arrived.
