They generally don't hey involved unless there's a reason. Otherwise they'd be involved on every case in the country when someone alleges misconduct, which we both know and agree isn't always the case. There have been plenty of questionable police shootings they haven't been involved in.

That being said i think i will respectful disagree with you on this. I think she will be the sacrificial lamb. I don't think she will get jail time tho. Probably a plea. Tho i think she would wave her right to a jury trial. That would be her best bet.

Unless I do something dangerous, there shouldn't be any risk of getting shot. In fact, guns shouldn't be drawn because there's no purpose for a use of such force.

You can't shoot someone for not listening to you. That's murder.
You can't shoot someone because they have drugs. That's murder.
You can't shoot someone because they have a criminal record. That's murder.

People who disagree with to hose statements should never hold a gun. They've proven they are too irresponsible to have one.

So, you read the part where the officer was shooting at the autistic kid because he thought he was pulling a gun on the guy who the officer ended up hitting by mistake?

He didn't think he was pulling a gun. If he did, he was too high to be on the job. He was sitting there with a toy truck and nothing else. There is no other way to interpret the actions of the autistic man.

That officer never should have been on the force.

Yes, and unless he's a terrible shot, that's a lie. You always comment on theses threads yet youre so blissfully unaware of all the incidents that occur. There is a video off this incident.

Shooting at the autistic kid doesn't somehow make it ok. Wtf was he shooting at an autistic kid for anyway? He was told by the caregiver that he was autistic and didn't have a weapon. So..... why was his gun drawn?

They are obviously being poorly trained. Idk how you can argue otherwise. We have soldiers fighting in a war against terrorists that are trained to be discriminate on their targets and to not use lethal force unless its a military necessity. These people are at war in a foreign place doing a better job than our police officers in Main St., America. You think they don't deal with people not being compliant? or they don't feel unsafe?

This officer in Tulsa, she wasn't an exceptionally trained officer or a long time hardened officer of the law that's seen it all and is prepared for the situation on the streets. She not even the type of person who set out for a life of serving her community as an officer. She was a regular civilian most her life, who, after a divorce, married a cop a few years ago and he got her a job on the force. She goes into the field, encounters a big black guy acting a little strange, and gets scared and shoots the guy. Of course it was a result of being poorly trained and poorly prepared.

I'm blissfully unaware? You're the one who posted an article you didn't even read and mistakenly thought it backed up your narrative. Not me.

There are a lot of shooting ranges that offer shoot/no shoot scenario training now. Maybe you could try it out and let us know how many times you would have died being a responsible officer.

You don't know everything that happened at the scene based on the crappy videos we have. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I have no idea how you could possibly be so sure you're right.

That's the problem. People think they know everything about a situation based on a shitty video. We don't.

Mistakenly? Theres nothing mistaken about it. Your interpretation is wrong. You claimed police don't fire and people complying, yet the man I this incident was doing nothing wrong and still got shot. The reason you claim is because he was aiming at the autistic kid, but if the kid was that close to the guy he hit, why was he shooting in the first place?

You can't just admit you might be wrong. There's no circumstance im which that officer is justified. So be mad as you want, but he shot an innocent & complying man. Aiming at a different target doesnt change that.

I'm only upset because you tried calling me blissfully unaware and you're the one who posted an article without even bothering to read it.

If the officers story is true it absolutely changes it. You want to tell a story about an officer who shot a guy who was being compliant as if he purposely shot him for being black when the real story, if true, is that he was shooting at someone else to try and protect the black guy who was complying. You're either being purposely dishonest here, or you're dumb, and I know you're not dumb so stop playing.

Now, the clown probably has no business carrying a gun if he's that inaccurate, but that's another discussion.

The black guy never asked for his help, in fact he repeatedly reinforced to the officer there was no threat.

You know im all for law enforcement and we had this discussion before. Police shoot innocent people unjustly. It does happen. Not just to black people, all people.

Just fyi i dont believe for a second he was targeting the kid. If he was, it actually makes it worse.

You are a disheveled mess. Seriously, I don't even know how to begin.

I guess pointing out that an accidental shooting is completely different than the on going topic on this page is a start.

How come it keeps being ignored that cops kill more whites despite them accounting for far less of the crime rate? The perception is being skewed because the media harps on only black people and police . How do you splain this? If everyone sees blacks as subhumans, then how do they see whites that they shoot more of?

Please help yourself first, because youre wrong period. And obviously werent smart enough when i extended my understanding of your position yesterday. As far im concerned, youre not worth the paper i wipe my ass with. Officer was wrong, end of story. I wont reiterate it again. Stop trying to justify the behavior poorly trained officers. You should instead be embarrassed about the heat these bad ones bring on 90% plus who do a good job.

Better I get shot than shoot an innocent person. Because that would be my job, to protect innocent people, not mow them down on the street because I'm shitty at my job.

I have plenty of white friends who have plenty of issues and mistrust with the police. Its all people not just black people. Go to an Asian community and ask them how they feel about American police. Go down south amd go into the poor white rural communities. I assure you they will feel the exact same way as you have pointed out. I dont think its just a race issue, its an abuse of power/poorly trained issue. To deny it exist simply shows that it is a problem.
