The tricolour is green white and orange. Green representing the Gaelic traditions, orange representing the traditions derived from William of orange and white in between representing the hope of peace between the two
Omg so stuffed right now. My buddy makes an outstanding corned beef. Haven't had beer in months, ooofah. _
Yeah, I see now. Thanks. I did a little research and am starting to get it In the area I grew up in, the Bronx, there were a lot of taverns, and areas where there were a lot of recent Irish immigrants. I heard a lot of different things...
I am shocked he's playing well, I don't think he did the things the Jets needed him to do however, which could be system or a player's limitations. Happy with Lee instead. Need someone to cover the RBs out of the back-field, play sideline to sideline and make tackles.
I'm not surpised. davis was a good tackler who covered a lot of ground, he just sucked in coverage and couldn't shed blocks
Jets are looking for a playmaker at that position, and I think Lee will be that guy in due time. Davis is no playmaker, can tackle and can cover ground. He hurt us more then he helped in my opinion.
I thought he was a decent player. especially for a 3rd round pick. Not everyone can be top 10 at their position. I didn't mind losing him though, and Lee looks like a stud out there. So overall I'm happy with the decision, It's just shitty how much jets fans trash their own players. Revis gets beat a few times and he's crap, Folk misses 1 kick and he's crap, Fitz loses 1 game and he's crap, Marshall drops 1 pass and he's crap. Nothing wrong with making a mistake rarely or being an average player.
I'm thrilled with the addition of Darron Lee out of Ohio State. We're talking about a kid in Lee who has tremendous speed, quickness and overall athleticism. He's also very sound in pass coverage especially against opposing HB's coming out of the backfield. In regards to DeMario Davis, I liked his tackling ability although I couldn't stand his ability in coverage (lack thereof). He also lacked athleticism in terms of sideline to sideline and frustrated me with poor angles from time to time. With that said I always thought Davis was a good player but with the Jets needing more youth, speed, athletsim & coverage ability amongst our linebacking core I believe the Jets weren't the right fit for the playing style of Davis. Speaking of Davis I also believe that Rex Ryan put too much pressure on the kid coming out. As soon as we drafted Davis, there Rex Ryan was being a loudmouth comparing DeMario's leadership skills to that of Ray Lewis. Should've let the kid develop into a leader instead of putting a Ray Lewis type of spotlight on the rookie.
Yeah I hear you on that, but that's the Jets way. I wish no negativity on Davis, he did some things really well, but to me he wasn't the 3 down linebacker I wanted to see the Jets start 16 games a yr. The people that talk trash on those 3 overreact on everything. Folk won us a lot of games, so did Revis and Marshall. Not of fan of Revis entirely but thats a different convo.
what kind of defense are they running in cleveland? that will tell me alot. if he has gap responsibility and can move forward he will probably be good. he has tight hips though and reading and reacting were not his strong suits. he needed to read and react and make plays in larger areas of space which was difficult for him. i havent seen cleveland yet so i dont know but assume he is playing better because of scheme and responsibility.
