With Rex Ryan we would have won today.

The story of Rex's career seems pretty straightforward. Between innovative defensive playcalling and his ability to get the most out of his players, his first two years were excellent - 24-14 excellent. Then the league figured him out, the rah-rah stuff wore a bit thin, and he became a distinctly below-average coach - 34-48 below-average. At this point there is no reason to think that he will be able to turn it around, since he's making the same mistakes now that he made in 2009, but without the good stuff.

I thought for once, a team would try and lull the defense with an obviously futile hard count, then actually run a surprise sneak. Not sure why I was worried with Rex coaching.

I'm not arguing that Rex didn't do a good job from 09-10, only that his ardent supporters have embarrassed themselves throughout his tenure as a head coach. I stand by that statement.
