Hopefully we can look back at this thread in a few weeks and laugh how its the greatest overreaction of all time.

I don't think this thread was an overreaction, the buffalo win merely extends our season. With that said Todd Bowles decision to not go for 2 at the end of the game really pissed me off. But for The botched onside kick that had SOJ written all over it.

A 1 point loss in week 1 is not an overreaction?

I'm not explaining myself over and over again. Read my previous posts. Any slap dick can wake up the next morning and post what you posted the day after a win.

    You are right sir.

When was the official time of death for the jets season, 5 min into the first quarter of week 1? Just want it for my records.

1-1 isn't too bad really, if we can get 1 win out of the next 4 games looking at the remaining games I don't think its is inconceivable for us to go 8-2 in the remainder of the season, finishing 10-6 again. The big question will be, is that going to be enough are we going to suffer on the early season AFC losses, potentially having lost to Bengals, Chiefs and Steelers. Time will tell, but we should remain optimistic even at 2-4 in my opinion.

Now lets make all the above a moot point and beat the Chiefs next Sunday :)

If 10-6 includes division wins, losses to Bengals, Chiefs and Steelers won't matter.

Should Jets check if Ryan is available?

TBH out of all the upcoming games the only one that really truly scares me is Pittsburgh, with Brown and their air game we might be in for a long day if we don't fix the secondary quickly. That being said, I think we match up well with the Cheifs; this is a winnable game, albeit a difficult one traveling to Arrowhead. Hopefully the extra days off will allow Bowles & Co to figure out what's happening on the backend, and our dinged up guys a chance to recover. As for Seattle, I know they have a good team, but they're traveling all the way across the country to play us in our house which is never easy (we rarely do well on the west coast: see, Raiders in Oakland). Also, I'm pretty sure Seattle's offensive line is trash in pass protection. Wilson got hit 9 times against Miami last week, and they gave up 114 QB hits last season. If they have trouble with Miami's pass rush...In all seriousness, this is a tough matchup, but I truly believe we can beat them. Lastly, Arizona has obviously been a great team the past few years, but after seeing Garroppolo & Co beat them in their house, I see no reason to believe we can't do the same. Gotta have faith gentlemen. Give me 3-3, 4-2 or :)D) 5-1 through six and let's get this thing goin. I honestly believe we are talented enough to be one of the top teams in the entire league, we just have to clean up the sloppy shit (long passes deep, special teams miscues, fumbles etc).

I strongly disagree. 10-6 means we're fighting for a wildcard spot, and losses to those 3 teams means we're in the exact same position as last year, on the outside looking in. It would be awful to be the first place loser a second straight year in a row.

KC and PIT are must win games. Further, we're now rooting for CIN to win their division.

I would have taken 1-1 with the win being against the Bills to start the year

Should really be 2-0 but I have hope we can have a good year with the way we've looked

It's to early for that. Cincy could get hit with the injury bug and win 7 games for all we know. We just have to win our games, if we split the next 4 it's important for those 2 wins to be against KC and Pitt.

Winning division games would mean Jets are getting into PO via winning the division and NOT fighting for the wildcard spot.

You have no idea who I am, and quite frankly I can say whatever I want on the internet. With that said, im very confident in who I am, and that if people knew who I was, im fairly confident that a sizeable portion of people would switch lives with me, if given the opportunity.
