Wow.... Texas, Auburn, Cal all go down Florida , Boise and G Tech all struggle to unranked opponents. Hmm is this the same K State team that lost to a supposed overrated Big East team? Did they really beat a potential natoinal title contender? Wait I thought the Big East was overrated? Not saying Louisville would beat Texas but they did beat K State who beat the Longhorns today..... Unfortunately the way I look at it unless USC runs the table a rematch between Michigan and Ohio State is likely. Don't anybody tell me Florida is on the same level with Michigan and Ohio St. Because a 6 point win over vandy followed by a 1 point win over South Carolina hardly qualifies the Gators as elite. I hate this BCS , here is quick rundown of possibilities... Ohio State: look to be a lock to play in Tempe provided they don't get blwn out by Michigan Michigan: Seem to be way better than Florida but will the BCS get revenge on Michigan even though they had absolutely nothing to do with non conference champ Oklahoma getting pasted by USC Florida: Not that good but have all the tough games out of the way except maybe a showdown with Arkansas. May also benefit by the Oklahoma rule as I call it. USC: If they run the table should jump ahead of Florida by virtue of wins over Cal and Notre Dame but how much will Cal losing today hurt them? Notre Dame: Only one loss to Michigan and a win over USC could be huge but how can you take the Irish over Michigan if the Irish got blasted by the Wolverines? Arkansas: Wins over LSU and Florida could leapfrog them into contention but how can they go ahead of USC who beat the Razorbacks in Fayetville. Rutgers: If they win out they have a legit beef to be in, I don't understand it, the winner of the WVU/Louisville game if they win out they are in but Rugers could beat both go undefeated and be on the outside looking in. Louisville: No chance but stranger things could happen. But how do you take a 1 loss Cardinal team over an undefeated or 1 loss Rutgers team? WVU: See Louisville except replace Rutgers with Louisville Wake Forest: No chance but can we put a 1 loss ACC team in the discussion? Boise St: No chance but look for them to play an ACC team in the Orange Bowl.
If you think about it, we could be headed for a pseudo-playoff for the Title Game. ND vs USC for one spot, and OSU Michigan for the other, it is provided Florida loses (which actually may create a few more difficulties), but I would not be shocked at all to see it end up like that.
more importantly, my boys in hawaii improved to 8-2, not to mention colt brennan is on pace to break david klinger's record for most passing TDs in a single season
no but i fuckin wish i did...they play the most entertaining football in the country...i was a huge timmy chang fan, and i've only seen them play twice this year, but i like colt brennan unfortunatly, i'm a gamecock, and they fuckin make me sad, so i gotta root for hawaii too...ever since i won a hawaii rainbows hat at the boardwalk
^ I was a Hawaii fan as kid, (growing up in Jersey). I graduaed from UNLV so I can't really root for a team in the WAC bu they beat the crap out of us this year. They are a freaking steamroller.... I actually saw Timmy Chang play in Las Vegas a few years ago and watched him play in HS when St Louis of Honolulu played Mater Dei of Santa Ana. I believe the QB matchup was Matt Lienart against Timmy Chang.
