and of course there's a bad snap and the kick is no good, and the Patriots win. It really just sucks being a Jets fan.
Except Jets fans who believe NFL bottom feeders like Fitzpatrick and Chan Gailey are meaningful difference makers for the Jets.
Testaverde getting injured was brutal but there was so many things that went wrong today that I was hoping would get cleaned up in the off season. On top of that the Patriots play a clean game with a back up QB and beat one of the best teams in the league. Absolutely brutal!
What a disheartening opening weekend as a Jets fan. After that horrible loss, but then seeing the other 2 AFCE teams lose, things seemed like it was going to be a wash. I mean, the Pats didn't have Brady or Gronk. They were facing the Cards, a seemingly elite team. There was no way Goroppolo would be able to lead them to victory. It makes me want to just give up having hope anymore for the Jets.
The irony of the NYJ saga. With all our maladies and screw ups we were right there, but the Bengals nails us for a 45 yard field goal to ice the win. Under the same circumstances, Arizona, at home, in the dome, against the hated Pats miss the field goal. I hate those fuckers more than any other team.
