This is why I don't get all the doomsaying after a hard fought 1 point loss in game one against a perennial playoff team. Granted they don't make much noise in the playoffs but they fight a hard division to get there annually.
On a short week no less. Not sure what's worse. That or those God Awful Colorblast(?) unis the NFL is forcing teams to wear. We get treated to those on Thursday too..yippie
Those jerseys make me sick, I completely forgot about those. This would be a wonderful opportunity for the Jets to go back out there on a short week and clear out some of those frustrations from today's game. Sometimes, it's best to just go back out there and hit someone. Gonna be an ugly game on Thursday, but this is a must win for the Jets.
We have an awful football team. I think we 'll get 7 sacks every week and lose every game by one point. Nobody on this roster can play. I look at all the other teams around the league, and their players are so much better than ours. When we lose on Thursday, there's no point in even showing up for the last 14 games. Yes. 112 sacks and 0-16 ... That's how I see the season going. I'm heading to the store now. Anyone need more tampons?
not to piss in your cornflakes, but Pats will likely be 4-0 LOL But you never know about a game until its played...who's hurt, who's slumping, who's hot, who will have a let down...All we can say right now is that as of today, few will expect the Jets to win any of the next 5 games.
This was a shitty way to start the season but the NFL is a marathon, not a sprint. On to Thursday. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Season is not over by any means but what a tremendous disappointment. You have Tom Brady suspended for the first 4 weeks you got to put pressure on them. Instead they are a game ahead of us in the standings. Terrible. plus you have the possibility of starting 0-2 in less than a week. Now they absolutely have to go on the road and win thursday night
Not over, but agree with you, it's looking grim. You have the Jets playing and losing a typical SOJ game at home, and you have the Brady-less Pats winning on the road with their backup QB against a team that went 13-3 last year. Hard to remain optimistic with a start like that.
Catanzaro missing that FG last night really made it an all-round fabulous day. I think our season will be defined by how we come out in the first half against Buffalo. We need to blow them out of the water.
Here's the thing..... The Bengals are a good team...... A playoff team...... And we should have beat them.....yes it sucks that we lost, but I don't think it's doom and gloom for us..... This Bills aren't as good as the Bengals..... We win, we are at 1-1........ And we have some extra time to get ready for the Chiefs at Arrowhead..... And I may be crazy but I think we can beat KC
Doom and Gloom? How can it not be? It was a SOJ HOME loss, and youre staring at a 5 game stretch with a team we lost to twice, and 4 teams that all made it to AT LEAST the divisional round. If we lost yesterday and played badly, and then get to face Cleveland, Jax, Tenn, ok no big deal. The fact that the Jets could be 0-2 with, KC, Seatle, Arizona, Pitt staring right at them is rough, we all could be watching Devils/Ranger/Islander hockey real soon. That's what sucks.
With this schedule it can escalate fast, Walt Michaels always said 0-1 15 games left 0-2 14 games left 0-3 13 games left 0-4 12 games left
Tough loss, no doubt about it but there's still a whole season to be played, let's not run off the cliff just yet. Beat the bills, a team we haven't played well against lately but do match up good against non the less and where back in this bitch.
lol did I really come back to seeing that this was a make or break game for our playoff hopes ? lmao.. you guys are funny man.
It's not the loss that's upsetting, it's the way they lost. All teams make mistakes, but the good ones don't make them at critical times like the Jets do. Sorry, but this many mistakes in a game is a sign of poor coaching, and worse, reminiscent of the bad old days. Last year, you could excuse it because Bowles was new, but he got practically his whole team back, at least the key players which he pushed for, yet they played like Ryan was still here. Schedule or no schedule, Maccagnan and Bowles were hired to put a winning team together. Anything less than that, is disappointing.
