Every year, the same emotions creep back on this day. I really hope NFL players can have the decency to hold their protests for other days. Not today. Just not today. Never forget.
No one gives a flying fuck about that damn gorilla. It's not funny. It hasn't been funny since the first five seconds of jokes. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
Emotional day indeed.. I still wish they would have rebuilt those towers exactly the way they were as a giant Fuck You to Jihadis everywhere.
I was hoping that would have done the same with a few modern updates. Honestly I'm glad that they did something anything at all. The only idea that I didn't like was the one where they essentially left a pit. Folks throw sucker punches and we get back up, that's what we do as Americans and New Yorkers. Just leaving a pit would have flew in the face of that.
I was shocked when I saw it's been 15 years. It still feels like yesterday. Hopefully this isn't inappropriate... in my opinion, the best Super Bowl ad ever aired:
All I remember is watching those 2 towers crumble wiping out the people inside..horrific Then GWBush reading to those kindergarten kids on TV and being interrupted with the News
Speaking of GW, I remember vividly going to the game before 9/11, Bush being up on the jumbo screen, getting booed. Then 9/11 happens, Jets game cancelled, then the week after, another home game. Bush back up on the jumbo screen again, and this time the mood is entirely different. The ENTIRE STADIUM chanting "USA! USA! USA!". Personally, one of the most patriotic moments I've ever experienced. I'll never forget that. Obviously that kind of enthusiasm has completely imploded since. Doesn't detract from what was in my mind a special moment.
