He gambled that Vinny wouldn't get hurt, and then picked up Mirer off the street. Should've went to Ray right away.

But really he should've had a better plan in place in case of Vinny being hurt, and had a back up QB on the roster that he was confident in from the start.

Do you remember Browning's first game as a starter? I was sure he was gonna be the next Bert Jones. It's still one of the best passing games in team history.

Eh...wouldn't say it was one of the best passing games in team history. 17.4 yards per completion is terrific but his completion percentage was nothing special.

Honestly we just should've rolled with O'Brien again in 1992 right off the bat.

Season doesn't start until the Jets play, so after Thursday we go back to #2.

 

I know I don't contribute a lot to this thread so my voice may not count for much, but I strongly believe (starting next year?) we should count down to the JETS opener, and not the NFL opener.

It just makes sense. We're counting down New York Jets here, not random NFL players. This is on the JETS forum, not the general NFL forum. This thread embodies Jets fever more than any other.

So why the hell are we counting down to some Thursday night game that doesn't even include us? It's like we're honoring the league or something. Or we're honoring the Super Bowl champs from last year. Fuck them. Fuck the champs. Fuck the league. This thread is about us, bitches. J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS!!!

 

It always amazes me how quickly time flies. I always look for this thread when we are at 99 days and love checking on it every day till the last day. Its like marking days off a calendar, good times man. I am so pumped for real nfl football tomorrow.

Actually, it wasn't a botched snap, but a rare CuMar fumble that caused Vinny's injuries.

 

Turk always looked so weird with that helmet that looked too small for his head. He must have a huge head or made them give him a helmet that was too small.
