I almost feel like I should apologize to those billboard nitwits. Almost.

I was surprised there were still that many. And that total includes Milliner. 2 years, pissed away.

Of all the things I thought Amaro would struggle with, catching the damn ball wasn't one of them. What a waste.

Pats kept Harbor and Derby, so we won't be needing them....

Two totally different schemes, NE lives and dies TEs and we could care less if we even have one as evidenced by the moves we made today.

    Different systems.

Jets have 2 pro bowl WR's and a pro bowl RB. The Pats have Edelman, Amendola, Hogan and situational RB's. Their receivers are all slot guys with not a true WR in the mix. Jets will use their TE's for pass protection and run blocking. The Pats will lean on their's for 50% of their offense.

This front office/coaching staff is 'no nonsense'.

I've voiced my opinion on Amaro throughout the offseason and had high hopes for him within this offense but after a great college career Amaro failed to live up to expectations.

Had an average Rookie season but after missing all of last year with injury as a 2nd year player, he failed to emerge during the preseason and continued to drop passes.

I'll eat crow. I was wrong about Amaro and gave him a longer leash than that of our coaching staff. I do believe that his nonchalant attitude had reason to do with his release.

We're going to see a lot of Quincy Enunwa at TE this year especially during obvious passing situations.

What moves made today make you think the Jets could care less about the TE position?

Yeah and the Pat's will be in the Super Bowl again while the Jets will be in the toilet bowl.

The difference is Tom Brady and an O-line thats superior to our unit. I think our receivers/backs are better than theirs.

Not only Allen Robinson but Jarvis Landry was also available with the Amaro selection. Landry as only a 2nd year player put up 110 receptions, 1,157 receiving yards & 4 TD receptions for Miami last season.

But I agree Allen Robinson is an absolute beast of a #1 on the outside.

    1.) Brandon Marshall (outside).
    2.) Allen Robinson (outside).
    3.) Eric Decker (inside/slot).

Could you imagine? That would make for one of the most dominant receiving trio's the NFL has ever witnessed.

    It's really a shame.

This isn't a hindsight 20/20 situation either: Everyone within the Nation/Country knew heading into the draft that 2014's WR class was one of the strongest it's ever been at the position. And with a handful of dynamic WR's still on the board, our incompetent GM in Idzik decides to go 'against the grain' by selecting a TE over one of those WR's.

    What a shame.
