YES YES YES Please Jets go for it. He would be a monster upgrade over Winters. On a Packer side, what? WHY?
you are right - surprised me that they do count. I guess I always just assumed it didn't and never cared to look until you said this.
lol - i took that mother fucker in the first round of my fantasy draft last year and he fucked me hard.
I guess Elway didn't know something everybody else didn't after all. Let that hold true regarding Lynch too please. Sorry John
I'm not saying the Jets should go after them, but it's somewhat note worthy/Jets related that former Idzik pick Jeremiah George was cut by Tampa after making their team last year. Vlad the 2nd round bust Ducasse was released by Baltimore today too.
I'd love to see the Jets add Josh Sitton. They might have to cut Giacomini to do it cap-wise, but I'd feel a lot better about the right side of the line if Sitton was there at OG. If Sitton wants too much, then Jahri Evans could be a possibility.
Packer fans ain't too happy about Sitton leaving. Gotta sign that beast unless they like Winters, but why wouldn't anyone like Winters? He did shut down Suh.
Can we restructure Skrine & Gilchrist maybe to get Sitton in here, and maybe cut Breno Giacomini and we should have plenty of space. We can greatly upgrade the right guard spot and possibly afford to have Qvale start. Skrine & Gilchrist are both young enough to want to keep around for the duration of their contract to the point where a restructure that makes them uncuttable in the next couple years would be fine. Restructuring Gilchrist contradicts what appears to be the long-term plan for Revis' switch to free safety which is the only issue with it. It's frustrating that Martin wasn't able to overtake Folk because that would've been a nice savings but that's not a downgrade I'd be willing to make and the front office agrees.
I broke the news to my packer buddies and they thought I was trolling them. They're upset. Rightfully so. GB has long had OL issues, but he's been one of the few bright spots.
