Our FO is being very smart with cuts like Ross and Kenbrell as they save money plus they can be had later if injuries occur as more than likely they will not be picked up any time soon unlike the rookies who most likely get scooped up real quick ... In other news ... if Kellen Davis makes the final 53 I might break something ...
Am absolutely shocked that Bohannon was cut, but am elated! I'm very happy that all 3 rookie WRs stuck, although a little saddened that Ross didn't make it. Am also surprised that Bishop didn't stick. Maybe he'll go to the PS. I hope that all the players the Jets want to make it to the PS will.
All of those guys above can be signed back just in case I feel in a week or in a few weeks....plus I feel mags gonna be scouring the waiver wire to grab someone at FB, TE, LB.
Bishop will hopefully go to the PS. If J. Marshall struggles, I hope that Ross will still be available, or that Chandler Worthy made it to our PS. I don't see Sudfeld as a big loss. Bohannon is addition by subtraction, IMO we don't need a FB.
My gut tells me the final 2 cuts will be Bostick, Stanford. I am hoping though for Dozier and Davis hehe
I am surprised about Reilly, he was supposed to be a solid player. I was also pulling for Taiwan Jones. Tommy..... goodbye bro.
After last 2 PS games, I thought for sure Fitz, Geno, Petty, and Hack were goners. I'm shocked we kept even one of these bums, let alone all 4.
The way this fan base reacts to a single poor performance...let's be glad our crappy judgement has no influence on the cuts!
Bohannon just looks like a guy who could be a big mean fullback with snarl...but let's face it he was never anything special. This is a league that has phased out all but the most elite of blocking backs and Tommy was not that good a blocker. We needed to keep all 3 receivers. Anderson, Peake and Jalin Marshall showed a lot. We finally have the WR depth that we've always yearned for.
some guys still on the roster ... Bostick (TE), Howarse (FB), McDougle (CB), Williams D. (RB), Stanford (LB),
According to NJ.com "Regarding Trevor Reilly's release, he was waived with an injury designation. He injured his hamstring at the Eagles, according to a source. It doesn't sound like a serious injury. If Reilly clears waivers, he would land on the Jets' injured reserve."
Jace is gone. I thought Bostick might hang around. While all the other TEs were dropping and fumbling balls, he was quietly just doing his job. Davis, Sudfeld and Amaro each had a fumble. No Bueno.
