Let's hope Geno doesn't get his face punched in or send out any cock pics before Petty is healthy

Via injury? Wow. Kinda like Geno beat out Sanchez, right.

Geno certainly did not outperform Petty. Geno is the #2 by default.

Geno won the job before Petty's injury....That's why he was rested for the 4th preseason game

Training camp performance matters to coaches and Geno did well most days from the reports....Petty looked very good in pre-season games so that's something positive for the future

Let's hope Fitz plays well and the backup situation doesn't matter anyway

Petty showed me plenty this pre season. He has grown tremendously and he is throwing a wonderful long ball. I'll say it now. If nor already, it won't be long before he surpasses Geno in the depth chart.
Hack is way too green but I am optimistic he will be extremely competitive next year, with one season under his belt. No different than Petty's progress.

Was you at TC? All you can speak on is what you saw which was very little. Let's be honest none of the 4qbs looked good overall in preseason. I'm worried about Fitz not Geno because he the backup. If the time comes and Geno gets in I will worry about him also. It just stupid we talked about the back ups all this time and not the starter. Maybe it could be that the Fitz fans are worried and don't want to admit it?

What I saw was Geno being treated like an afterthought this preseason. Did you even notice him playing in PS3? It's like they wanted to get him off the field ASAP to avoid him screwing up too badly.

For a guy that "won" the #2 job, his entire performance in preseason was kind of non-existent.

But that's your thing, avoid actually talking about Geno's play and draw all attention to the other QBs.

    That, and pretending you're illiterate.

I have talked about Geno but now it time to move on. The CS made there call so it no point in talking about backups who may not see the field this season. I've said this many times all I want is the Jets to "just win baby" and I don't care who the starting QB, RB,WR's etc is. IMO I think this team can make some noise this season if the QB doesn't fuck it up. I would say the same if Geno was the starter about the QB. As for me being illiterate I just don't proof read everything.

Of course Geno is names #2. What would you get for #3, at least this way asking for a 5th is semi-respectable.

It is quite clear that the preseason games did not determine the back up.

If the coaching staff (who most fans like and support) want to go with Geno as #2 then any person with sense
can connect the dots and realize the job was won on the practice field in training camp.

Trying to speculate anything else is just the typical Geno hate nonsense.
I think half of the haters will be rooting for the Jets to lose and Geno to fail if Fitz should get hurt.

Gutted the Bryce injury ruined what could of been a performance that put him past Geno but on the other hand its nice to know that personal luck hasn't completly turned its back on Geno.

If Fitz goes down early or at least when we're still in contention then Geno is our guy and although I'll be peering through my fingers everytime Mangold snaps it and cringing upon release, I'll be rooting for the guy to be something approaching the pro-bowling adonis of footballing manhood that others think he can be.

Once we're out or if it's early enough that we're still alive but Geno'16 is more Geno'14, I'd expect us to move onto Bryce quickly and I'd be comfortable with that.

I'll save that for if we ever need him to play.

I think this situation will get more clarity when Petty is healthy & Devin Smith returns from pup. Right now it looks like I was wrong, but the injury fogged the waters.

I still say he is only number 2 because they are still trying to trade him and nobody trades for a three bvut I agree the real misery for Jets fans will start if he ever hits the field, it isn't like we haven't been down that road before.

Am I the only one that thinks that was a late hit on BP? Ref is watching the QB from 5 yards away and can't pull the trigger on the flag, these refs suck...
