Figured as a fun way to close out preseason people can throw out a surprise roster move they expect as we finalize roster.

Surprise cuts - Amaro, Jeremy Ross, McDougle
Surprise addition - Deon Simon, Wes Saxton

Simon wouldn't be a surprise as he was drafted by Mac and fills a spot where there is no one else. He also had a decent preseason.

Ross is a better keep than Tompkins.

Yeah but what's their role? Ross is a returner first, everything else is secondary. Thompkins on the other hand is a receiver first and he has a lot of competition there. The big 3 were already ahead of him, likely Robby Anderson is ahead of him too, so now he's competing with Peake and Marshall for a position that won't get much playing time to begin with. Marshall has the advantage of being versatile in that he too can return, which Thompkins can not. Peake has the advantage of being a Mac draft pick.

I'd say Thompkins is on shaky ground at best.

I can see us cutting Amaro and keeping another promising Wr. The guy just hasn't shown anything to this CS.

You know your TE situation is bad when Kellen Davis is a surprise cut

Simon will be there. I would be surprised if Daryl Morris makes it. Dex is prob a goner guy can't stay healthy what a shock

Speaking of surprise cuts... the Buffalo Bills just released and cut Manny Lawson (due to a looming 1 gm suspension).

After losing all three of Reggie Ragland, Shaq Lawson and IK Enemkpali (all due to injury) along with now the release of Manny Lawson; Buffalo is literally completely depleted at LB.

Their current 2016 Linebacker unit (lackthereof) could possibly be the weakest group of any NFL team.

But Rex didn't cut him for behavioral issues, so he must like others on that roster. They didn't cut Lawson to be worse off.

Yeah and I would think Rex and Rob will figure out that defense.

blind leading the blind.... NFL has caught up with Rex and his brother is a joke... His "D" have consistently underperformed, i.e., see NO.

Bryce Harris has been cut by ATL. Played in 16 games in 2014 as well as 16 in 2013. Started 3 of those.

Bryan Folkerts cut by the Rams on first cut, solid center not sure if he can play at guard. Coach Fisher on Hard Knocks seemed certain Folkerts would land somewhere.

Stork has been discussed, he will help at guard for certain but failed a physical. If he is healthy I definitely sign him.

Rob had no players in NO and Rex had his defensive backfield ripped away from him too. Let's see how they do if they have the players in Buffalo. I know the Jets couldn't beat him once in two tries and that was without his brother being there.

There goes Thompkins, Ross and Tawain.

Think we add some cap by letting Thompkins go which helps our cause.

Too bad was rooting for Taiwan. Hopefully he gets back to the PS.
Some surprises to me so far. Bishop and Reilly got the axe. I'm guessing they pick up a vet on the waiver wire.
Figured Sudfeld was worthy of one of the spots.
Also surprised they cut Thompkins and Ross, but nice to see the rookies will stick around. Hopefully they can develop into good players
