That is bold, Ron. Real bold. I would think that all 4 make it through the Cut to 75, but we will see.
I'd take a 15 lb brisket for Geno. I don't think dallas is going to trade, better free agent quarterbacks currently available if they want to go that route.
Im thinking they dont want to play Geno so they dont devalue him further. Maybe a team will pop up and trade for him. Maybe SF? Dallas? Denver?
It would be wise for Dallas to give up a fourth rounder for Geno. But the jets should not accept this unless we were confident in Petty as a backup.
I'd like to see how petty performs in the last preseason game before I go into the season with Petty as a backup. But yes a fourth for Geno sounds good.
He's young has starting experience and is a borderline starter/decent backup playing for peanuts. Id hope for more than a bag of footballs.
He is a 4 yr guy who showed no improvement over his tenure, a turnover prone sack machine that is due for a new contract. Anything higher than 7th would be a highway robbery.
I like the trade the Browns just made with there punter. They traded him and a seventh this year for a fourth two years from now. I'd like to see us get creative like that.
Lol ugh I just hate what the New York media does to mediocre players totally destroys their trade value.
Geno isn't even mediocre. How can you call a QB who has more INT's than TD's mediocre? His leadership qualities aren't even mediocre. Mediocre would assume that Geno is average. In every season he has played he has ranked 32nd amongst all starters in regards to turnovers.
Don't really want to get in a debate about geno I know all sides of the story. This is the part where I say but he had no receivers, switched offensive coordinators, and was thrown in the fire to early. Then you show me some stats about his turnover ratio in the fourth quarter and his wonder lick score. I respond he had a year to learn the offense by sitting on the bench and so on and so forth..... I think I'll pass.
I'd take that brisket too. Smoke that bad boy @ 225F for 18hrs with Mesquite/Oak and knock it back with some Makers Mark... Oh yeah... Free Geno!
According to PFT, several teams have expressed interest in Geno and inquired about his availability. Getting a conditional pick that could escalate to a 4th rounder may not be as out of the question as some of you think. Some of you seem to have forgotten two things: one, the drastic shortage of quality QBs in the NFL and how desperate teams can be; and two, the ego of HCs and OCs in the NFL. They see a flawed player with talent and think they can fix him. In Geno's case, I'm sure that some think that he might do well with a change of scenery and away from the glare of the spotlight and hostile fans in NYC/NJ.
