He's too short and hasn't played. He's a classic Jets reach, folks. Doesn't mean he can't be successful, but the Jets' track record on picks like this is not good.
When I first heard the pick my reaction was "Who?". However, after watching some tape on McDougle I think this kid can play. Guy is a total ballhawk who seems to have good instincts and is extremely intelligent and beloved in the locker room from everything I've read. I think he's got a really good shot at replacing Wilson at corner.

Even the infamous story on why they drafted him stunk from the very beginning. Sad thing is..when he plays he's a decent player. Nothing special. Similar to Marcus Williams..and might be a step quicker. i Liked this pick at the time. Unlike most of the Idzik picks which I hated. I thought he had promise.
He may develop into a first ballot HOF cornerback but, what I do know is, he's a dog shit special teamer.
Why draft him in the 3rd round though? He was projected to go in the 6th. Even if we waited one more round to get him, the pick wouldn't get the scrutiny it did. I mean theres liking a guy and then theres reaching several rounds ahead to get this guy. Even when healthy, the guy doesn't look like a starter by any means. Picks like this turned me against Idzik fast.
