As a backup against Jacksonville, he looked great. Did fine last night. What's your point? We don't have anyone else on the roster that could be a successful backup at this point. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
He looked far from great against Jacksonville. I guess you missed everything up to his TD pass if that's what you think.
8/14, 1 TD, 0 INT. Other than a couple shaky passes to start and a drop by a receiver on 3rd down that drive, he played well. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk
preseason stats are cool. did you watch him play or just read the stats? not a "great" performance by any stretch.
except he sucks in games remember the bills game three interceptions in a row...you can't be serious have you seen him in the other 29 games in his career? he as a 2 to interception to td ratio the opposite of what you want from a qb to start
Ah yes - the legendary perfect QB rating against the Dolphins. I expect Geno Smith fans to still be referring to it decades from now as the crowning jewel on a turd of a career.
Still waiting for evidence of that. One good game out of three doesn't get me using the word "fine" in my opinion. He needs to be better.
He played two good games. Last night he was off but still made some nice plays. The screen play pick-6 was awful. Not much difference between Geno & Petty IMO. Not worth a roster spot for a guy whose gone next year anyway.
What's your point, that we do? Actually Petty looked better that Geno vs Jax too. In limited action last night Geno looked okay for the first time, and some what relaxed. If any QB goes it'll be Geno. Unless Mac and TB are convinced they struck gold with Hack, in which case they would get better trade value for Petty. Even with that I would doubt they would trade Petty before cutting Geno
I hope he retires. I saw the hit that put him out; I was expecting this brutal, bonecrushing shot (or maybe a player accidentally spearing him). If a run of the mill shot like that can break his back, it's over. Walk away while you can still walk.
