Man I loved that game too! I swear that was the first football video game with actual gang tackles. You could go apeshit with the custom playbooks as well.
I loved seeing the weekly reviews of the games, where they show the highlights, and scores of all the games.
It IS the greatest football game of all time. I played like 10 seasons of Franchise mode lol. It was the perfect football game. Franchise mode had so much depth with draft classes.
IMO hell yeah. this one is really really good.. (i've felt they were the same for about 4 years straight before this one)
well Wilkerson is like the 6th best LE on the game.. and Sheldon isn't even top 12. Darron Lee doesn't have the 90 speed we were promised, and Fitz couldn't even crack an 80 rating. But when i play with the jets in an actual game they are really good. or i'm really good. one or the other lol.
The best football games far and away were the NCAA series. I used to buy Madden every year also, and it was a waste. Now I buy them every 3 years, so this year I bought it. Obviously its a lot better than Madden 14 lol. I do this with all sport games, and Im never disappointed.
Something about playing with QB#17 in NCAA while being tackled by LB#51 was always too frustrating to me, not to mention the hours upon hours you had to spend in order to input the rosters. It was cool with all the interesting play books but none of that was ever worth it to me IMO. Ultimate Team & Franchise Mode in Madden are deep enough to keep one occupied for a while.
Yea, you could always download the rosters. It was all about the Dynasty Mode and Online Seasons. The recruiting was always fun (especially in the online season, as you were recruiting against other people, not A.I.) and by the 3rd or 4th year, all the players had generated names anyway. Then you could export your rosters to Madden.
Tecmo Super Bowl on Original Nintendo is still the best game ever made. I haven't played video games in forever and it was funny I went my brother's house over the summer and my little nephew just kicked my butt in Madden royally. like pick 6 after pick 6 it was brutal..... I was like the Mark Sanchez of Madden players.. So the next time he came over to my place I dug out the old NES from the attic, blew on the Tecmo Super Bowl cartridge, and crushed my nephew. Home field advantage haha
lol really? I've only seen one... i did notice that the hit-stick is pretty weak on 17. I miss the whole screen shaking when you rock some one... the animations on the hitstick could be better... and more aggressive
So I just played my first game on the new Madden. I beat my friend who is nearly equal to my rating. He was of course the Packers, and I was the Jets. I won 31-7. (Last minute TD) I love the new running style. In general, the motions are more realistic. (Less choppy) I hate the new kicking. Aaaaand yes fumbles are more than before, but I like it. In other Madden games, I would sack the QB, and he would last millisecond get rid of it. In this game, it's a fumble now instead of bs incomplete pass. I'm glad they fixed that. I'm looking forward to seeing how franchise is different.
