Great job! This is so much more mobile friendly, which is great for me because I'm constantly on this site on my phone. I'll be getting home later to check it out on my laptop.
I've used Safari for this site the entire time I've been a member, and while it wasn't the most user-friendly, it was still usable. With this new update, I've noticed it is now so much more user-friendly with Safari. I've never used Tapatalk though, so I can't compare the update with that. Your best bet is to just check it out and see.
Not sure if you guys are just sucking up or what, but it doesn't look good at all imo. I'll stick to Tapatalk I guess.
definitely very white. there was alot more green and gray in the previous version if i remember correctly. i see the posts are a little bluish gray but not really noticeable. i find it hard to differentiate between posts and and definitely between posts and sigs. thanks for all the effort in making this place the best. see what i did there!
it is a HUGE upgrade on the phone side though. i couldnt use my phone to surf the forum in the past as i was constantly resizing everything. now it is layed out beautifully.
I'm getting used to it but agree with the comments about the similarity in appearance between current quotes and signature quotes. Perhaps emphasizing current quotes by repeating the dark vertical bar that is on the left side also on the right to "bookend" the quotes would help. And I've never been a fan of sig quotes - they lose their punch after the first thirty-seven times you read them, but maybe eliminating the left side vertical bar on them would help differentiate between them and current content. Thanks. Edited to add: After reading through a few more threads, maybe the sig quotes, or any sigs at all, could be moved to the left panel because they become part of the personal information of the poster rather than current, topic related input. This could either be between the "Well-Known Member" and "joined" date or under the "Likes Received." That would work well on computers, not sure about phones.
@Petrozza A request...Similar to the last time you changed the template. Can you please add the page numbers under each thread title? (Like the thing that tells you how many pages this thread is in now) It comes up if I scroll my mouse but on Mobile its tough and not really view able.
I am not a fan to be honest.. Runs a little clunkier than the previous version.. But its all good! You the man Petro!
Either my eyes are adjusting or you've increased the font size a bit or made it darker for regular posts - they seem to stand out more now. Still think putting the vertical bar on the back as well as front of quotes would help. Thanks.
@Petrozza for tapatalk, users are getting network errors when clicking the embedded tweets. I am not 100% sure, but you might have to update the software plug-in for tapatalk https://tapatalk.com/start-here.php at the bottom of the page. I remember seeing an rss logo a while back, but probably not the case.
