I'd like to see that as well. But how can you possibly claim "We know what Geno is". That's a myth. Two can play this game. I'd also like to see Geno get a shot with the 1st string come our 3rd preseason game. We already know what we have in Fitzpatrick but we've yet to see what we have in Geno when surrounded by the likes of Brandon Marshall as his outside #1, Eric Decker as his versatile #2, Quincy Enunwa along with Matt Forte coming out of the backfield. You know, real pass catching options as a 4th year player with two years of starting experience along with 1 from the outside looking in. Let's stop acting and pretending as if he played during his should've been 3rd year. What? We know who "Geno is" because of his 1st two seasons? That's actually laughable with zero insight whatsoever. Unfortunately we only know how Geno looks like when surrounded by a less than ideal/mediocre talent level with the likes of... Jeremy Kerley. David Nelson. Kellen Winslow. Jeff Cumberland. Stephen Hill. Santonio Holmes. Clyde Gates. Eric Decker (as a #1). Greg Salas. Josh Cribbs. Sallim Hakim. Jace Amaro (as a rookie). Percy Harvin. Chris Owusu. T.J Graham. Chris Ivory. Yea. Right. Geno "really" had pass catching options during only his 1st two seasons in the league. That's a joke. I do know he looked downright amazing while with WVU when having playmakers in Tavon Austin & Stedman Bailey. There isn't one Geno critic on this message board who can tell anyone how Geno could perform with 2016's current offensive system. Why? Because we've yet to see it. These are facts.
Sheldon Richardson Mohammad Wilkerson Leonard Williams (2nd year) Jarvis Jenkins David Harris Bruce Carter Erin Henderson Darren Lee (Rookie) Lorenzo Mauldin (2nd year) Trevor Reilly (yea)
You are giving the front office quite a pat on the back for a pick that left fans and critics scratching their heads. Even before the preseason Prescot seemed to be a better value pick than Hackenberg. Like I said, I hope the front office is on the right side of the decision but I still don't see it.
I never said that. You did. In reality its irrelevant because they were in different situations. They played near equally, whether their teammates hindered or propelled them. There was bad and good from both. It's just apparent to me that the coaching staff thinks it's time to see what Petty's got since the gap in skill seems to be closing.
Why hello there Mr. Hoover! I must say, that is a cute argument you made there. I'm sure it has the ladies tickled silly! Anyhows, I'll just throw 2 numbers at ya now sugar. Those would be 1 and 3. As in 1 year left on Geno's contract, and 3 years left on Petty's. If the best Geno can do with the 2nd string is look mildly worse than Petty with the 3rd string, I'd say those 2 facts I just presented to you don't bode well for Mr. Smith. As a wise man once said, "she's gone from suck to blow." Have a nice day! Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk

I have a question. Are there any QB's in the NFL's history who have looked as bad as Geno has and then end up being great? Just trying to figure out what the Geno fans are holding on to. I'm not sure how much a QB can change and improve. I don't think it is fair to judge the Raiders game last year or the Jags game from Thursday either. Not enough information to say if he has progressed or not.
Yeah, and last year Geno was unquestionable started .. until he wasn't any more. Bowles plays for no controversy, no media attention. He'll say it regardless.
He was till he got hurt. He got the majority of reps in practice. You really need to just stop. You sound ridiculous. Geno is going nowhere and anyone who thinks he should, obviously wouldnt make it as an NFL exec. Stop making excuses for whats been obvious from day one. Only jets fans always want to elevate their 3rd string QB. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
the 3rd string QB is elevating himself. Geno and Petty at the moment are the same QB: some good, some bad. If it stays the same, FO will cut the one who learns slower, has fewer years before the contract negotiation and have no affiliation to whatsoever. If you're so blinded by your menlove that you can't even entertain this possibility, it's on you. Geno will have 3 more chances to show he is better that Petty. If he fails to do it -- bye-bye.
I really dont understand where you're getting this from. There has never been any indication that this was going to happen. In fact, just the opposite. Its been indicated that the team was going to carry 4 qbs. As they should. Thats what makes sense, and if they didn't want Geno, hed have been gone. There are teams who would gladly take him. Petty has had ONE decent preseason game. Not great, decent. Only blind fans think it was great. His own coach said it was "ok". No complex scheme, no exotic blitz, easy first reads, no tds, and against 3rd stringers. So WTF are you talking about? None of that screams out playing anyone. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Just when i cant stand your ass, you always got something good to say. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
It comes from watching both QBs play. And no, they should not carry 4QBs unless they absolutely have to. That roster spot should be used on extra WR or O-linemen.
