This isn't a giant cellphone, it's a message board. Maybe if you learned how to write in actual sentences, people would bother to read your posts instead of just writing it off as idiocy like I do.

By the way, shut the fuck up.

to prove this guy is only capitalizing on vilma's bad luck..... where was his crystal ball on the other players on this team who do not fit, but are still around? i guess we'll have to wait for next years post?

Why does he need a crystal ball on the other players on this team who do not fit? The guy made a post about Vilma & the fact that Vilma does not fit the 3-4. The fact is that the current HC & FO are going to play the 3-4, period. I personally liked the 4-3 (in which Vilma thrives), but Mangini is another one of those Belicheck clones & they play 3-4 only. Today, it looks clearer than last November that Vilma needs to be traded because he has no spot on this D, because (hence again) he does not fit the 3-4, so we need to move on & get the 3-4 personnel. Why? Because (yet again) this coaching staff only wants to play the 3-4.

If you want to make assessments of other players on the team that do not fit,......then by all means,.....tell us what you think. I dont expect you to have a crystal ball, just tell what you think.

I'm at the point where part of me believe that Sione Pouha has a legit spot on this team. The guy looked OK yesterday,.....not great, but not bad either. He is not someone to build the D around, but hell,....he looked like a guy that could reasonable spell some snaps for our NT starter (whoever that may be).

    Congrats buddy.

Harris and Vilma would've been a great ILB tandem in a one gap or hybrid 3-4 like the kind Rex and Bowles run. The 2 gap scheme Mangini ran was not a good fit.

    How are "you right"?

Because of one preseason game? Laughable.

    Because Wilkerson was out? Hilarious.

Because Harrison's replacement was out? Laughing stock.

We had 2/4 of our starting d-lineman sitting out but yet you feel as if you've "proven" some type of point? Weird.

P.S: Harrison has had two knee injuries in the past and is coming off a HORRIBLE offseason with the Giants due to knee problems. Forcing him to sit out.

It's gonna be hilarious when the Giants run defense gets ran all over tonight and "proves you wrong".

Harrison needs Wilkerson, Richardson & Williams and it wasn't the other way around.

And before you claim "you're right"? And before you attack our run defense? Please make sure it's A.) Not a preseason where we're running vanilla defensive plays. B.) Wilkerson's playing while demanding double teams & C.) Harrison's replacement is actually PLAYING.

    Mind boggling.

Wait, what???!!!??? I'm seeing this at the top of the forums and immediately thought somebody wanted to trade Jonathan_Vilma, to who and for what. Turns out it was somebody playing with a corpse.

lol, what are you talking about? this post is about trading vilma once we changed to mangini's 3-4 scheme where he didn't fit and draft players that fit the scheme. Wouldn't you take alan branch and lamarr Woodley for vilma? this post has nothing to do with the current team.

How big of a douche do you have to be to bump a thread from 10 years ago just to claim you were still right?

Not sure how he thinks he was right. Both players he would have had us draft in the 1st went in the second round, had we taken either of them we likely miss out on drafting Revis. Add to that he expected to get a pick in the 15-20 range of the 1st round for Vilma.
The negative response to his original post was more negative to what he thought the Jets could get just by trading Vilma. It wasn't rational then and coming back 10 years later doesn't make it any more rational.
You can always tell the type that probably jerks off to pictures of themselves.
I wonder if he still claims to make $125K a year playing cards.

Holy fuck. How small of a dick do you have to have to bump a thread this old and still not know you were wrong?

Jon Vilma's Super Bowl ring says Hi.

You do get bonus points for resurrecting a thread with a sayuki post, though.

I for one quite enjoy the time capsule element of any old bumped thread. Forgotten players, banned members, wrong opinions, wacky predictions.

    What's not to like?
