You do have to be a little concerned how the Jets head coaching job is perchieved in inner circles. A lot of former Jets coaches seemed to want out early. Makes you wonder why.
Maybe so, but we have had a different owner now for a small number of years, and this is only the 2nd coach we have had under his rule, excluding Parcells who was already on his way out.
And here I thought it was Jets versus Patriots, not Jets versus Sharks. Just think how appropriate it would have been if the West Side Stadium had actually been built. So, who is this on the ground at the postgame handshake - Mangini or Belichick?
Belicheck is a prick, I dont see him mad at Weis or Crennel, its just Mangini went to a rival and Belly cared more about himself than he did for others.
BB must have a serious hate for this organization. One so bad that he must downplay what a decent job one of his former coaches has done so far with this Jets team. He has no issues with all the other guys that have left him for other teams..There is such hatred that he cant even look Mangini in the face when shaking his hand after the game. Oh well, no love lost as far as I'm concerned. BB has done a spectacular job in NE and there is nothing anyone can say bad about the guy. Except his charm is equivalent to a dried up turd... ats_suck:
How Bellichick feels about Mangini is of little interest to me. And, how Mangini feels about Bellichick; I don't care. I want a win this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That matters.
I really hope maybe as Chris Baker is pushed out of bounds after making a catch near the New England sideline, he intentionally runs into Belichicken and head butts him.
This is the type of stuff that gets me excited about games, for some pathetic reason. Makes me remember the 'Tuna Melt' days when the Pats treated Parcells like the devil. Oh the drama. I love it.
I am so pumped about this game, my favourite rivalry for the Jets so with the hate for the Pats and love for the Jets combined this will be awesome.
I believe that Beliceck is kind of an ego-maniac. Since he advised Mangini not to take the job he expected Mangini to listen because he is the great bill belickeck. He started to dislike Mangini the second he didn't follow his opinion
It's obvious that BB's feelings towards Mangini have nothing to do with competing against a division rival. He spewed about Saban this year before the Pats played the Fish, and last time I checked, Miami was still in the same division as the Pats. While off the field stuff is not that important, this whole story makes me dislike BB even more. It's clear that BB hates the Jet organization. I have no idea why. But he must have told Mangini not to take the Jet job and when Mangini had the nerve to disobey BB, BB lost all respect for Mangini. How petty and selfish. If a subordinate of mine had an opportunity to take a promotion with a competing company, I would remain supportive even if I thought the move was a mistake. But put yourself in Mangini's shoes. At 35 you get a HC offer. How many HC candidates see their chances go up in flames when something goes wrong the next season - see Ted Cottrell, or Donnie Henderson for example. Mangini did the right thing. As for BB, what he did to the Jet organization was a disgrace. He should pay the Jet franchise the $1 million salary he got for being an assistant coach and HC in waiting. He accepted that money under false pretenses. He is nothing but an asshole. I simply cannot respect such a vindictive, petty man. When you think back
