The last time the Bills made the playoffs Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn were top selling cars in America.
To keep this football related... Back in 1999? during the last time Buffalo made the playoffs? ° Each AFC/NFC Conference only had 3 division's per Conference. ° The Indianapolis Colts were still apart of our AFC East division. ° The AFC North, AFC South, NFC North & NFC South division's weren't yet created. ° There were still AFC Central (Jaguars, Titans, Steelers, Ravens, Browns, Bengals) & NFC Central (Buccaneers, Packers, Lions, Vikings, Bears) division's. ° The Seattle Seahawks were an AFC team (AFC West). ° The Arizona Cardinals were apart of the NFC East. ° The Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons & New Orleans Saints were all apart of the NFC West. ° The NE Patriots finished last place of the AFC East @ 8-8. ° The Houston Texans didn't yet exist. ° Kurt Warner was league MVP. Warren Sapp was Defensive Player of the Year. Edgerrin James & Jevon "the freak" Kearse were offensive/defensive Rookies of the Year. ° Paul Tagliabue was still NFL Commissioner. I believe it's safe to say that, lots has changed around the NFL since the last time Buffalo actually made a postseason/playoff appearance.
The last time the Bills made the playoffs, steroids were widely accepted in Major League Baseball, and the first BCS Championship game occurred. Nelson Mandela also just stepped down as President...
the last time the Bills made the playoffs your biological father was fucking some fat drunk bitch behind the bar hoping like hell not to get her pregnant....ooops.
I think it funny seeing these Jets fans make fun of the Bills not making the playoffs for a long time. The way I see it if you make the playoffs every year but don't win the SB then it doesn't mean shit.
Being a Jets fan has been frustrating to say the least. Dating back to our childhood days we've all been letdown, disappointed and at times heartbroken. 1998, 2009 & 2010. 3x AFC Championship Game failures. Along with countless of other upsetting disheartening scenarios in between. But no one can convince me we haven't had fun & exciting times as a fan base. With playoff runs along with postseason appearance(s). Curtis Martin carrying our teams into the H.O.F were some nice times/memories. We all loved Chrebet & many others. Witnessed our teams eliminate the likes of Palmer & Cincinnati, Rivers & San Diego, Manning in Indy & Brady, Belly & N.E. All on the road with great defense's as road warriors. May have lost to Manning in Indy 09 & Big Ben in Pittsburgh 2010 but now thinking back those were some wild times. Hard Knocks of our Jets. The rivalry between N.Y & N.E. It hasn't always been bad/ugly. We've contended & still contenders moving forward. Buffalo fans could only dream of rooting for a franchise such as our very own New York Jets. I know, not saying much but I feel this football team is on the rise, talented, getting faster & younger @ key positions. Veteran leaders. A strong minded tough head coach. A great evaluator of talent in our GM. Young prospects @ QB. We're prime for multiple runs all while N.E plans on a long journey without Brady. Manning is retired. Brady will be next. N.Y. because of our defense are the next/up & coming powerhouse of the AFC East.
I respect a good troll as much as anyone. But we're still one up on the Bills in championships. Not to mention the recent history of the two teams says we have been vastly more successful than the Bills that is pretty much a black hole franchise at this point.
Pt.2 huh? The sequel is usually not as good as the original, but some great TGG member posts are making this thread pretty good.
I was premature on this thread being complete ass. Turns out, it is one of the better threads I've read all year. Kudos.
Most of us on here wasn't alive when the Jets won there SB. So before bashing another team think about what your team has done. Which IMO since I been alive the Jets hasn't done shit. Me as a fan i'm about winning. Not about how excited some season where or who we have in the HOF. AL Davis said it best "just win baby".
How about the last time they won a playoff game? If your wife/girlfriend gave birth to a child on the day the Bills last won a playoff game they'd be old enough to drink in about 6 months
