Got to see that travesty in person this afternoon. From the 5th inning on the guy next to me and I were agreeing that the Mets were going to lose on a blown save by Familia in the 9th, and after the bases loaded-none out-no runs debacle in the 7th it was obvious that it was going to happen with a 1-0 lead. In the elevator coming down from the upper deck after the game one guy blurted out "So, who here knew that putting Cespedes up with men and second and third and none out meant he'd immediately get walked and they wouldn't score?" and everyone put up their hand. Collins is such a joke.

The SmokeBurger at Shake Shack before the game was good, however.

Actually a decent article and reminds me ill never have full respect for this franchise again until we have new owners. They will forever hold us back. They are absolutely crippling owners and despicable people to boot. The Wilpons might even be lucky enough to stumble upon a championship within the next 5 years, but we might have won 3 and witnessed a dynasty with real, competent owners. In New York of all places. It's sad to watch this wealth of pitching we have go to waste under their ownership.

Down 3-1, bottom of the 8th, first two men get on, they bring in the relief pitcher who shut them down with the bases loaded yesterday, next three batters, three pitches, three swings, three outs. Once again, Mets' fundamentals are the worst I have ever seen. That's not the fault of the Wilpons, except in that they were stupid enough to keep the incompetent Collins as manager for all of these years.

The Mets sign http://bfy.tw/6zSh I vaguely remember him from when he was with the Rays.

If they really thought they were getting Lucroy why would TDA be in the lineup?

I don't think it matters if he's in the lineup TBH. Collins was clueless last year with the Flores fiasco.

Just saw on Twitter that the mets yanked a single A pitcher early from a game and everyone was giving him send off hugs. Could this mean Lucroy?

Marccarig- Mets sent 3-player proposal earlier headed by d’Arnaud, Nimmo, +1. Brewers countered by asking for significantly more. Mets balked.

Seems like the Indians are going to get him. The arrow is seriously pointing down on the team.

Indians just traded for Miller so hopefully those were some of the pieces they were asking for.

So Lucroy declined to waive his no trade clause since the Tribe wouldn't give him a contract extension

Cleveland was giving up some top prospects

Milwaukee probably upset at Lucroy because they had a sweet package.

Were about to get 4 game swept by the Rockies, I think I'd rather us be sellers at this point. Seriously, let's see what we can get because clearly this year is NOT the year. Anybody holding for a chance at Lucroy is delusional, he's not gonna get us to the postseason. Terribly disappointing year.

Mets trade Nimmo and 2 Lowe level prospects for Bruce. Hopefully we can go snag Lucroy now.
