His clock management needs to improve a lot this year, and his propensity for chasing points needs to stop. I like T Bowles demeanor during the game, even keeled. But I want to see some improvement in the above mentioned areas.
I didn't like his choice of putting Revis 1:1 w/Watkins. IMO, the right decision is to have Revis on WR#2 and double Watkins.
Or just not play 10 yards off him every damn play? I put that week 17 L on Bowles and the CS more than anyone. I think he's going to be fine though. Smart guy, hardworking guy and has plenty of experience under his belt. You don't last this long in the league by never getting better.
+1 didn't like the way they just tried to contain Taylor either. We made it easy for him and Watkins....we were passive
Bowles definitely deserves a lot of blame for that game. But some people are just so very willing to absolve blame from the most important position on the field.
Five in a row and counting. Date[12] Score[12] Attendance[12] January 3, 2016 Buffalo 22, New York 17 68,670 November 12, 2015 Buffalo 22, New York 17 78,160 November 24, 2014 Buffalo 38, New York 3 56,044 October 26, 2014 Buffalo 43, New York 23 78,160 November 17, 2013 Buffalo 37, New York 14 68,036 The game where Geno Smith assumed the fetal position was especially horrible to watch.
The same QB who won 4 playoff games (including wins over Peyton Manning and Tom Brady on the road), Went to 2 AFC Championship Games, 1 in which he threw an 80 yard touchdown in the next to biggest stage the NFL has, etc. I even think that was a negative on Geno! Yep, that was a true team loss. And to think of the score (22-17) with how absolutely pathetic the Jets played on offense, defense and special teams, is the most upsetting to me. That Bills team was trash. Rex thinks he did so good in both games against his former team, but the Jets literally blew both.
If Sanchez leads the Broncos to a repeat SB win this year a lot of people on this forum will be eating crow.
Of course everyone will, that's a major accomplishment. Gigantic fucking 'if' tho. He's splitting reps with Trevor bleepin Semien.
Haha, well @TNJet set me up to show some of my old Sanchez love. He is better than Geno. Maybe regular season games, but Sanchez stepped up in both of those playoff runs.
I ran out of toliet paper.....Thanks for this i will put it to good use ,the edges of the printer paper will be a bit rough but it will be well worth it.
I really wanted to see Geno as our starter after two seasons of playing experience along with one season of learning the x's & o's aspects of the game from the sidelines behind a veteran in Fitz. Not to mention being surrounded by the likes of Marshall, Decker & Forte ala more talent than he's ever had a chance to work with. I'll still root for Geno to out perform Fitz during training camp and preseason, because I believe in this kid but it is what it is. I'll support and root for Fitzpatrick as well I just want for Fitz, as a veteran, to be a lot more efficient when compared to last year. His accuracy/completion percentage, INT's, average yards per pass attempt & QB Rating were (all) at the very bottom of the league. In closing, even as a Geno believer I'll be fair regarding Fitzpatrick. Maybe another year under Chan's offensive system combined with chemistry gained alongside Marshal & Decker can have Fitz that much more comfortable under center in order to improve upon overall efficiency. Forte is also a major upgrade over Ivory in terms of pass catching ability out of the backfield; which should become beneficial for Fitz while scanning the field for an open player.
Everybody keeps saying that about Mac. But what if Fitz shits the bed? Then they bench Fitz and Geno comes in and has a great year and miss the playoffs by a game?
