Now that's the type of win I'm talking about. That was so big taking game 1 with Fernandez tomorrow night. Maybe we can steal another one. We needed 4-2 out of these next to determine our season. There's 1-0
Went to the game. Matz was nice getting into trouble and shortly getting out of it. Top of the 8th was setup so perfectly with Matz up to bat..switched pinch hitter then the 2 run rally after. Great win
New York Mets @Mets 22m22 minutes ago Tonight's game has been rained out and rescheduled as part of a single-admission doubleheader tomorrow, 7/26, 4:10p http://atmlb.com/2arL7Cp
http://www.metro.us/new-york/jose-r...a-big-way-for-the-mets/zsJpgy---h0E070nCauso/ A)It wasn't a risk. B)It hasn't paid off in a big way because he's not exactly playing well.
He's actually played pretty well for what I thought we were going to get and he's been pretty solid in the field. I'm happy with the signing. I just hope they can go make a move for Lucroy. He would be a tremendous addition to this team.
Yeah I don't really get the risk. There was a little bit of backlash when they were considering signing him but nothing major other than fools spouting off on the radio. If Dante Stallworth can get a second chance for killing a man, I don't see what the big deal was for Reyes, and I'm not at all condoning his behavior.
Well, Familia has been way worse than his save streak would have implied, and it's all come home to roost tonight. If this holds it is an absolutely devastating loss. And I wish Keith would shut up already about how amazingly great this game has been.
Big time. Familia was bound to blow one, sucks it happened vs a team we are competing for a wildcard spot against. That cespedes homerun felt like it could have been a turning point in the season but it was wasted. Hopefully we can take 3/4 vs Colorado and get right back in the thick of things with cards and Marin's lining up for 4 games and the Nationals traveling out west to Sam Fran
Cespedes out with a nagging quad injury. Horrible lineup. 1. Juan Lagares (R) CF 2. Curtis Granderson (L) RF 3. Wilmer Flores (R) 3B 4. Neil Walker (S) 2B 5. Asdrubal Cabrera (S) SS 6. James Loney (L) 1B 7. Rene Rivera (R) C 8. Alejandro De Aza (L) LF 9. Jacob deGrom (L) P
Yep thats what made it so painful, I thought that could really turn the tide of the season, but the reality is this team can't hit. I don't get it though, we are last in the majors in batting average and WAY last in average with RISP, did anybody predict that going into the season? I know this team is not a juggernaut but how are they THAT bad? It is baffling me. Please someone shed some light on this. How are we SO SO bad, it's staggering.
Despite Familia winning streak he hasn't looked good to me. He has been walking a tightrope all year.
