In regards to the contract, the 1-2mil difference that may have been saved had they stood firm would not be more beneficial than having our starting QB present for the entirety of training camp.

 

If Foles is available on the cheap, <$4mil, I'd pick him up as well, and cut Geno & Petty. Then we'd have a true competition, as well as a tradable asset should a playoff team lose their starter

I will say I commend all the Geno fans for sticking to their guns. I did the same with Chad Pennington, Mark Sanchez and currently I am with Ryan Fitzpatrick. Nothing wrong with sticking with your guy. I never was a Geno guy and he has done nothing to change my mind so far. I certainly was not a Ryan Fitzpatrick guy, but his play last year changed my mind. Great having him back for 2016.

where the hell is this talk that fitz wanted $12 million a year? i'm pretty sure he wanted something in the $16-$18 million range for a 1-year deal and we offered $9 million, then brought it up to $12 million a few hours before he signed

if people are bitching over an extra $3 million for our starting QB who brought us to 10-6 last year then idk what to tell you. i will say that i think he's overrated, but he's getting paid (i think) as the 21st best QB in the league and that's definitely market value
