HOLY SMOKES! This show is so fantastic, takes place in NYC...Is a murder/crime drama/mystery Has my dude Omar/Chaulky White...John Turturo is putting in a Emmy worthy performance through 3 episodes so far. Its a 8-part mini series and it is intense top notch stuff...Anyone else watching this? Love the intro to the show too, reminds me of True Detective season 1. Haunting stuff
Saw the first two episodes, very well done. The show demonstrates the flaws of the criminal justice system, and I doubt it will be a good ending. Tons of suspense.
Man there has to be some redemption here...It does show the crooked flaws of the criminal system, but the story needs some happy ending or I will be depressed. Unless he really did it!
I would be shocked if he actually did it. I initially thought it was the black guy staring at Nas as he went into the house with the chick, but that's just too easy right? I have a suspicion that we might not find out who killed that woman to be honest, instead we will see how an unjust system can ruin someone's life. Too late for him to go back to school, his family probably will end up being completely broke. Just the way they are portraying the police force, I have a feeling we won't get an answer, but the lawyer will find a way to prove the kid didn't do it. I hope they find out though and it's a good ending instead of a depressing one. Gotta watch the 3rd one tonight.
Yeh watch the 3rd episode...fantastic stuff...I have theories but Ill wait till more people here have seen it

Stumbled upon the first episode on vacation in the hotel flipping channels. I thought it was a movie and when it ended I was pissed and like WTF, then realizing it was a series I was pretty excited to have something to look forward to watching. Haven't seen episode 3 yet, but really liked the first 2.
The first episode was very good, started slow and ended with a bang. The last 2 episodes have been pretty slow. Starting to lose interest, but the acting has been good. Probably keep watching for now.
Finished episode 1. Great tension and drama but the entire story is dependent on the main character being an f'ing moron.
I agree and was thinking about that as well, but look past it hahah. It won't bother you much longer.
Pilot episode is definitely got that feel, after that you really dont know where the show is going if its supposed to have 8 episodes. It seems to take place in prison and revolve around criminal system which is pretty cool. He probably is learning the hard way in the show what to do.
In real life he would have been beaten down within the first few hours of reaching the dorms in Rikers. I'm liking it ok but if they want to make it realistic then a beat down is in order.
Yeah, it got Torturro's feet real bad To me it hinges around Turturro and that's good. I'm interested in how he handles the woman stealing the client and how things end in the courtroom, and his dealings with people in general. The eczema shit not so much The jailhouse stuff really doesn't do much for me so far, and I'm not thrilled by the suspense of whether the kid gets gang raped or murdered and all that stuff. Good, not great so far for me.
Really like the Turturro character and much of the dialogue between everyone, like how Turturro handles all the negativity around him. Same with the kid.... and how he's dealing with people, and the sharks and their BS. Still not crazy about the jailhouse thug stuff, but that may just be me tired of that stuff in films and TV.
Let me touch your feet! Show is very good so far and I like the pace of it. The writing also has a few jabs at those ignorant enough to believe every Muslim is a terrorist. Lots of layers to this story and looking forward to seeing how it plays out. Omar/Chalky is back which is always a good thing
I doubt it gets a second season, it was written as a mini series so would be hard to pull something out of it to continue on. Being this was James Gandolfini's pet project I would venture a guess that if it did get a second season it would be pretty bad. And I'll add that anyone that is a fan of Michael Kenneth Williams, Freddy on the show, check out Hap and Leonard. Not going to win any awards but I thought it was definitely entertaining. Season 1 is out there and season 2 next year.
