you sure about that? I think the "Brexit effect" is a lot more likely, which is essentially that 5-10% are quietly supporting protectionism and taking back parts of their society but not telling anybody about it until they go in and vote. Whatever the polls say, you should be adding 5 to 10 percentage points to Trumps actual total
Dude. You are living in a communist country, aren't you? Or you did? Why are you so willing to fool yourself? This life is far too strange to confuse your children. This life is too fucked up to confuse your life. Live your life and raise your children and take them out of the strange influence that Asia will bring them, but make them understand that there
Very fair point Byz. Just a gut feeling here that when push comes to shove, people will get cold feet and play it safe by going with the devil they know. That and I think enough people are going to swallow the Trump-as-Grand-Imperial-Wizzard spiel.
Except that nobody with an impartial mind thinks Trump is actually a zealot. He's an egomaniacal peddler of real estate and trinkets and his style is to just hurl brainless insults all day long that don't make much sense but that he'll never back down from. In his personal life he likes anyone that can make him money and has empowered many women in his businesses. People know he's full of hot air but it doesn't matter. He's a useful idiot that for the first time is annihilating political correctness and actually going to enforce immigration laws. My biggest problem with him is that he's going to be picking the replacement supreme court judges according to the far right's wishes. No good choices in this election
Honestly I can't fathom how people can ignore the email leaks. Even if there isn't another e-mail released (I think there will be), we have documented proof of the corruption of Hillary Clinton and her campaign. She's a criminal that seems to have a pass from the justice system because of her power and influence. Regardless of your political affiliation, Hillary Clinton as PotUS diminishes the United States as a whole. It's one thing to disagree with a candidate. It's another to ignore corruption that is on display in plain sight. That's the stuff banana republics are made of. I came into this election looking to vote Gary Johnson because I want to see third parties in this country rise in influence and power, become competitive with the establishment. This is a unique time in our history however. The geopolitical scene appears to be getting more dangerous by the day, and we've got the opportunity to stop one of the known most corrupt politicians from taking more power for herself. I'm 99% sure I don't want to vote for Trump, but I'm 100% sure that Hillary Clinton would be an unmitigated disaster as our next president. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Good post GG. Except that impartial minds such as yourself and others here seem to be few fewer and fewer nowadays given the polarization of the two major parties, an example being how the term 'Nazi' gets thrown around so casually to describe the "other side." As for Trump, yeah he'll dance with anyone who can help make him a buck and while you (the impartial mind) can see his carnival barker bluster for what it is and blow it off as "the Donald" just being Donald, a lot of hypersensitive "women & children!" partisans from the left are going to take his off-the-cuff/over-the-top comments at face value and as gospel proof that he's the Mexican/Muslim/women-hating devil incarnate who's not to be trusted. And if those demographics turn out in large numbers come November, I'm not sure he can overcome it even while riding the current pissed-off-at-Washington sentiment. I'll admit that there's a ying/yang dynamic in play here that I can't quite get my arms around: on one hand thing's have gotten more loosey-goosey as to what you can get away with saying behind a podium (vs. the days of Howard Dean blowing up his candidacy with one solitary "yeah!!" freak-out moment). Yet on the other hand, there's the PC/safe zone mentality that demonizes any contrarian viewpoint as "extreme." So, the stage is set and the die has now been cast with nothing but a lose-lose result to show for it come November. And while my tangential, retarded posting style (and sorry for the length/ramble) often comes off like JetsHuskerfan (albeit with a better vocabulary..ah hem.. : ) ), I've got nothing more to offer other than to tastelessly mock and lampoon these two deuces from this point onward. Trump's a crazy fuck. and as for Hillary....where to start? Her totally scripted bullshit began the day the Razorback Clintons took a page from RFK and went Empire State house hunting in Wykagil Park (New Rochelle) before settling in the other "blue-ist" area in Westchester: Chappaqua. Follow that up with a fawning media-incubated "listening tour" (i.e. look & listen...but no questions allowed) and she was off to the races....ending up where she is today: a piñata-in-a-pantsuit as far as I'm concerned. Jets start training camp today. Now there's news.
* puts tin foil hat on Trump was tipped off that wiki-leaks has some or all of the deleted emails with incriminating evidence, likely related to the Clinton Foundation. He's doing this now so that when the info is leaked he appears like he's already a powerful influence, commanding the global stage. * takes off tin foil hat
