Great site! I've seen others, but i like the way this one organizes the issues. suggest everyone poke around on this site, or different sites, to get a better understanding on where each candidate stands on actual issues. get into the habit of thinking about individual issues, and out of the party based thought process.
Johnson actually encourages everyone to go to this site and take the quiz. He is that confident that that his views align with the majority.
The problem is he has to be polling at 15 percent across 5 different polling polls that the Republican democratic debate commission chooses. It's a bull shit rule. I did it and these are the results. 91% Trump 84% Castle 73% Johnson 5% Clinton 1% Sanders 0% Stein Wasn't sold on Trump, but I guess he should be my guy.
The important thing is you did it and it gives you a real idea where your views and the candidates views meet. Too many people saying they are holding their nose and voting for X or claiming a vote for a 3rd party candidate is a wasted vote without even taking the time to research.
I don't even know what Trump's views are, aside from making idiot faces and trashing Rosie O'Donnell, the latter of which I agree with.
I used to think Trump was a tool of the Dems just to get the Bilderberg candidate Hillary elected. Now, part of me thinks the Republicans are using him to shift to a new party to revitalize their image.
I would be OK with a some defecting if they really believe in a 3rd party but hopefully they don't think they can just come in and take over the name and continue on with their useless policies. I realize that the self serving policies will happen with any party that gets too much power, that is why I am hoping it doesn't stop with a 3rd party. It would be good to have 4 or 5 parties all with some pull, things might actually get done, they might truly have to meet in the middle.
Thing is, if there are ever 3 realistic parties competing for that vote, it will only be during a 2-3 years transition to the next version of the 2 party vote. Keep the population satisfied by the least confusing alternatives. That's how it works. Republicans and Democrats used to be on opposite ends of the philosophical spectrum, and somehow they reversed. Nobody even noticed. Even while their families'lives changed drastically.
