Well, there's no one else there to support against Clinton. No one else has any chance to win against her. They have a chance to get to a certain percentage of popular vote but will still end up with zero electoral ones. So, a vote to whoever else takes my vote away from Trump, who's the only one with a chance to prevent Clinton from winning and potentially doing unrepairable damage to this country. Hence a vote for 3rd party is pretty much a vote for Clinton because it's also a vote against the only candidate with a legitimate chance to defeat her.
You supported Trump well before there was no one else. If you're in NY, your vote is pretty meaningless anyway. Democrats can also vote for a third party.
Who else was there? The religious nutjob named Ted Cruz? The corporate puppet named Marco Rubio? Kasich? Jeb!?
I think almost any one of the rest of the field would have been a slam dunk republican win vs. crooked Hillary. Just my opinion.
I don't know....there's a lot of people that never liked the Republican Party but like Trump Me personally I can't stand guys like Ted Cruz but I'll be voting for Trump Would have voted 3rd Party for sure if it were Hillary vs most of the other Republicans
I disagree, I think Trump is the only one who would stand a chance. In order to do it though, he needs to get enough of the traditional republican voters. Trump will get way more independents, more people that usually don't vote and even some democrats that no other candidate would get. While the others may have been more solid with the traditional republican voters, that is all they would have had.
It's pretty rare for one party to hold the presidency for more than 2 straight terms. Hillary is an exceptionally flawed candidate. Trump is such a shitty candidate that the republican convention has focused almost solely on how shitty Hillary is. The message I'm getting from that is that they don't have much else to offer the voters.
I thought he gave a good speech. Trumpisms are just assumed at this point. He must have practiced quite a bit with the teleprompters. This is the first time he looked natural in front of them. Previously he looked and sounded stiff.
