Not necessarily. If the cap hit is lower and the bonus is higher that means we can still pay Fitz a smidge more money. Went in with $3.45 mill cap space and if this is less than a $15 mill cap hit for this year it will create more space. If anything this means Fitz gets a 1 year deal.
The way I see it, it's the kind of money that a non JJ Watt type player should be getting. His guaranteed money is nothing to sneeze at. I think Sheldon is the one who is on the outside of the circle of trust and might not be signed at the end of his contract.

Cap is an interesting thing. Maccagnan can move some money here, money there, and definitely re-sign Fitz if they wanted to. Will they? Who knows. If Fitz being selfish allowed them to sign Mo instead, could be a blessing. I still expect to have Fitz back before Training Camp.
