This fucking thing has been out for a week and I'm already sick of hearing about it.

I haven't heard of many people actually playing the game but there are 3214912359213 people making fun of it. Seems weird.

Its still huge. Its one of the biggest competitive esports. The world championships are up there with EVO and air online. I usually watch atleast a day or so. I wanted to go to EVO for SFV but that didny happen.

I enjoyed Pokémon as a kid, but this just seems lame. I'd still much rather prefer the Gameboy & Gameboy advanced games on emulators than this nonsense. Unbelievable. One said it best. It takes one trespasser getting shot for an uproar and the game to slowly become extinct.

Not gonna happen any time soon, the game going extinct that is. It's about to get huge sponsorship deals.

Similar to Flappy Bird. Extremely short fad, that was no different than any of the other games that were quickly abandoned.

You have sponsored places coming up and the ability to trade. Also of course more items and pokemon to catch. It's not dying any time soon :O.

Other countries have yet to join too.

Yep. That's the first thing I though of when I saw this. Starbucks will have gaggles of idiots running to their low-traffic locations to find whatever retardedly-designed Japanese Poketurd is a rare find.

Walked my dog last night. Usually I barely see a soul in the neighborhood.
But last night I must have seen 30 kids scouring the streets looking for Pokemon.

As a fifth grade teacher I can attest that Pokemon is still popular, even though it does not get the public attention like it did when it first broke out on the scene 20 years ago, every year I have at least a handful of students really into it --- It is not going anywhere.
