It's interesting debate in the Kobe/Duncan debate as to who is better. Duncan ended up with more accolades in terms of Finals MVP's and such, but not nearly the marketing that Kobe has drawn, and not the scoring dynamic Kobe had. Who would everyone rank higher?
I think its almost like comparing apples to oranges because they play such different positions but I don't know how you can choose Kobe over Duncan in that debate. Duncan is probably the best at his position (PF) in the history of the game. Kobe you can't say the same. Kobe had the better marketing and sold more shoes but big men are always handicapped in that segment and it wasn't Duncan's style anyway
I will miss Duncan man. Btw...Draymond arrested for assault in michigan. He probably kicked someone in the nuts again
Duncan for sure. More consistent throughout his career, far more dangerous on both offense and defense. Simply unflappable, pressure never got to him.
Duncan was a few team choked free throws from a Jordan tying six titles and arguably a Derek Fisher miracle from 7 and the greatest modern champion in history of any sport.
I'm sure a few older dudes that want a ring & don't care for $ will reach out to GS... But i'm about 90% sure OKC is gonna rock with Russ this year... that front court is young and promising with Adams Kanter McGary and now Sabonis as well. Plus Ilyasova is a stretch 4 shooter that russ will absolutely love. Plus Russ and Oladipo is a soliddddddd back court. Going to be a lot of speed a lot of defense and a lot of rim breaking dunks. KD woulda been the perfect piece to balance the front and back court out... but we really just need another shooter there.. I still give us a top 5 seed in the west... 4 or 5.
So true, although if Jordan never retired the first time, he could easily be an 8 time champion, so it's tough to compare that. Duncan was one of the greatest for sure, but I don't think he's in the Jordan conversion.
No doubt. Nobody is in Jordan's conversation. Beyond his team and individual dominance, he pretty much revolutionized athlete marketing, branding and merchandising. Those things influence what we think of him as an athlete as much as his athletic accomplishments.
Oladipo can't shoot worth beans. He is a frustrating player because some nights he will look all world and then others look like he doesn't even belong in the league. If OKC can get shake it out of him he would be good there but Orlando tried everything to shake it out of him. Orlando is a mess though, who knows. I am interested to see how he turns out.
Yeah he was still developing into THE GUY.... that's the best part about it though.. he's still developing.. not even at his prime yet..i can see him being a top 5 SG... OKC will not be a good shooting team unless we make a move or two asap. Our only sure shooter is Anthony Morrow and he doesn't even play much.
Yeah @JetLifeLo just stop. You're making me look bad here. He didn't fucking throw the game lol jesus christ.
