Take away the two broads, one dog and the smiling hero. Insert $100 bills and Hillary Clinton and you'd be correct!
Trump is considering a retired general (and a Democrat) for VP. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-hes-seriously-considering-a-retired-general/
What happens if Trump goes in and blows up the GOP convention next week? What if he stands up there after getting the nomination and lectures the delegates about all the things they're wrong about? What if he tells them that if elected he's going to run things his own way and sacred cows be damned because the country needs his leadership and the Trump Way is the way we need to go? The GOP convention and Trump's speech in particular are going to be must-see TV for the first time in a generation. You can't buy publicity like that.
Would you bet your life savings on the proposition that he wasn't going to do those things? I sure wouldn't at this point. He just spent a weekend lecturing GOP Senators about how off they were. Seriously, you can't lecture people who lecture other people for a living.
I wouldn't bet a plug nickle on it either - that image (as with anything Trump) was to have been taken with a grain of salt - clearly the Donald doesn't beast in the statesmanship dept. I'm curious to see which GOP Senators are going to chance hitching their senate seat election wagons to the un-prodigal, unrepentant Trump, a man despised by half his party and a November underdog to boot (assuming Hillary's "non-stick finish" stays put).
I can just see the moment if he's reading off of the teleprompter. It'll be like the mayor of Rock Ridge offering Sheriff Bart a "Laurel and Hardy handshake" before he realizes he's black.
You know, I agree with Ginsburg's general antipathy towards Trump, but he's right that she should keep it to herself.
