Ended slavery yes, and who can we thank for that? The bible condones slavery. you can learn how to beat a slave perfectly to where he or she does not die and can still work the next day. it's a remarkable and spiritual book taken as a whole, there's also great tips on child sacrifice, treating women like cattle, how to sell your daughter into slavery, and how she should be stoned to death on her fathers doorstep if she is not a virgin on her wedding night, how to sacrifice animals, who to kill and why, it's wholesome, spiritual, and fun iron age barbarism for the whole fuckin' family.
Yeah, let's ask a fetus what he thinks about this matter before talking human rights. And don't pretend you care when life begins, that has been a distraction from the pro life people since the beginning. You guys care more about the so called soul, something we know nothing about and can't even prove exists. If your belief system is real, then abortion is terrible because you only get one life and then have to spend eternity thinking about it. In the 99.9% chance that your religion is wrong, it could actually be considered merciful. You guys love to try to legislate your belief system.

This is unfortunate but it does appear he was looking for some action with another consenting adult. Consider the alternative.
I've avoided this thread and won't debate my beliefs one way or the other, because religion is too subjective and intimate. This guy, though, Ravi Zacharias, debates it better than anyone I've ever seen. I really do enjoy watching the guy on an intellectual level, because wherever he goes there is a long line of young agnostics and atheists think they have single smartest question that he can't possibly answer - but then he does. No matter the question, he's able to make a faith-based argument with logic and history behind it.
We already live by subjective morality, and I'm not sure how he even remotely came close to answering the question.

WeIl, the brilliant dink with scarf and the hoodie asked a stupid question. "Why are you afraid of subjective moral reasoning?" What exactly should the answer to that be? People are entitled to their own beliefs and they're allowed to identify the source of their individual moral code as they see fit. There's no true answer either way. No provable answer either way. Stephen Hawking and Ravi Zacharias have an ongoing friendly debate at stalemate. By Hawking's own admission. There's no answer. That's why it's called father. My sense is that there are geniuses here that would be re-seated probably much quicker than this look-at-wonderful-me grad student.
