For all situations it's really important. I learned quickly when I went through my DUI situation that if there's no camera they can say whatever they want and the judge will believe them. Even though I was guilty the cop made up some details in the report and on top of that changed the report months later. The judge just decided that was reasonable lol

If your camera stops transmitting you immediately get called in to be interviewed to explain why, with written reprimands being given and suspensions for repeat incidents. And if you manually turn your camera off it's a mandatory suspension unless there's a DAMN good verifiable reason for it.

You read my mind. I had the same thought. There should be a computer console at the dispatch center. A supervisor level officer should be at the console. He/She could pull up the screen for every patrol car and every body cam. He/She could communicate with the officers in the field. The 4-way cams on every patrol car would be constantly recording everything in it's view as the car moves thru the streets. Everything the cameras record would be retained on the central computer at HQ.
