I have to wonder just how much PTSD played into the sniper's mindset. Sounds like this guy just snapped and let his emotions run wild resulting in the worst hate crime since Dylan Roof. Being a combat vet certainly played into how he went about the killing and his preperation for it. Using the robot as a bomb delivery system was genius. I wonder if we're doing a disservice to our returning vets by not screening them thoroughly enough when they return from combat and transition to civilian life.. This country has been at war now for 15 years and there's quite a few citizens that have the experience and access to milspec weapons to become lone wolf assassins. There may be more of this guy out there. Black, Brown or White, a combat experienced nutcase is a very very dangerous one.
Very well said by the Game. Athletes/black celebrities are really the only way to fix this at this point. Communities meeting with police officers, gangsters & thugs meeting with cops would go a long way. While Snoop and the Game are no longer in that life they represent that lifestyle, and guys like that need to reach out to their gang affiliations and have them go to the police for the sanctity of society as a whole. Tough to envision that happening. How are real live thugs & gangsters going to keep their street credit while meeting with the police to protect their little brother they want to pass the gang name on to? Tough proposition here.
